I know its not even 630 yet, but the weather forecast does not look good for the rest of the night. Could this game get postponed? Has that ever happened or worst case scenario---would they just wait and wait and wait and the 2nd half start as late as 11 PM?

Not sure, the way it sounds is that they would move it back to tomorow. But the one tweet said that a game can be ended if they have played 3 quarters. Does this mean it could be canceled?

Never knew about the 3rd Quarter rule. But i dont think football is like baseball where the game would be entirely cancelled and start from scratch.

They just announced that the whole"3rd quarter" rumor was just that...a garbage rumor.a game has to be finished to completion or cancelled.
if it is rescheduled only the ad's,not the refs thank god, can determine how to procede.
this game should be starting up within the next half hour.

I've heard if the game picks up on same day, then the game resumes as it was, but that if its rescheduled, then it starts over. Again, no one knows the truth to these statements, its just what some reporters are saying

So unless I mishead, they're sending players back out at 7:10 and starting the second half 12 and half mins later for those who may have switched channels.

Team will be back on field at around 7:10 est. then will have 12.5 mins to warm up again. Game should start somewhere between 7:30-8pm est.

They still have to allow ample time for fans to get back into the stadium. Who knows how long something like that will take.

Yes, they will finish the broadcast. They make a lot more money from ND gameday advertisements then they do from an infomercial.
