We were down 14 at halftime against UM last year, Dayne brought us back. He can do this, but we have to play a clean half (no turnovers, no penalties). If we get a score, all of a sudden USF tightens up, and we can win the game.

Exactly. We need to have fun, run the ball, and trust our defense.

We're outgaining them by 50 yards. Cierre has 84 yards rushing.

We're moving the ball. We'll score. But, it has to happen quick...

If I said it once I'll say it again, Crist is not the guy, and I don't want to hear any excuses from these Cali people on here. No more ******* excuses! If he can't win with this defense he shouldn't be the starter, so please Kelly put in Rees, who is a WINNER!!!!!!!!

Shut the f up dude. Seriously. It's jot just Crist out there. He hit TJ he hit Theo he hit Eifert.

Relax!

Not bent out of shape...however "...Who will be the coach..." "...player development..." post- come on man. Really.?...not the only person that thought those posts were "lame."

So if a person is known to be good at something and we notice it, we can take note and praise them for it? We can't question when they are known for something and you can't notice it? I guess we're always summoned to the kool-aid, shucks, I thought this was America.

I will praise him as soon as I see it. So far, besides Cierre, I don't see it.

I'm 100% behind Kelly and he will be our coach next year and I'm grateful. I just want to see why/how he makes teams better. I believe in him, trust me.

Let's move on.

Right.

Jones dropped a strike for a touchdown. Riddick and Eifert killed drives with dropped passes. Taylor Dever has been manhandled on the edge.

And Ben Turk. If he's better than Brindza, Brindza must be garbage.

this whole thing is a mess. extended half time will help us. we need something big.

i do not think the defense is "the" problem, but i see a big defensive play needed (pick 6). i'm glad they've made the stops they have, they look good, but we need better because of how bad the offense is. we're not moving the ball. cierre wood has moved the ball. everyone else is in the gutter.

Great, I have to work at 7 and the game is going to be delayed. Ugh...
When My ducks played Tennessee last year there was a lightening delay.. Oregon came back HARD. They came back with a renewed vitality and wound up stomping them in their own stadium.. "It ain't over till it's over"

I know this isn't what people want to talk about, but next year can we start with freaking Central Michigan or Northern Iowa or something? I wonder how many other "good" teams came out flat today and nobody noticed because they played Akron?

We are where we are today not because of our talent, but because of stupid turnovers and stupid penalties. Obviously that is part of the game, but this is why other teams open up with patsies.

Hell, I'll talk about it. I think it's a great idea. Nevada and San Diego, for example, were great first-game choices. They were willing to come to ND without us having to go there, weren't total cupcakes in the eyes of the media, and we could easily beat them pretty handlily.

So what happened to Western Michigan? Let's schedule them first. They seemed pretty happy just to get an invite and it let us work some kinks out.

So. Fla. is probably the worst to schedule 1st -- they have a chip, rountinely win on the road and have good athletes. Not to mention their coach has a record of being a Giant Killer going back to E. Carolina.

hypothetically speaking if the storm is too bad can we continue on another day ala high school games or do we just...lose?
