Keith, I hope you come to ND so don't get me wrong here. This thread isn't worth opening again until he steps foot on campus, until then, we have no chance with him or DBG. After that, the world is ours.

Go Irish

And for all we know he's the happiest guy around....

It is severely short-sighted to assume this guy is an "idiot" and "ruined his life" by choosing to tell W.P. to beat it. Gimme a break.

And if a recruit asked Kelly why he was calling so early, and hung up on him instead of listening you wouldn't call him an idiot? I would and if it is my kid I'd kick him in the ***. Same principle w a West Point education. I never claimed that it "ruined his life", maybe he did end up in a good situation, but turning down an opportunity to get into West Point generally ends in someone getting a lesser education and fewer opportunities than those that choose to attend. Isn't that what we all make very clear on many of these recruiting threads when kids say positive things about the "opportunity" for a great SEC education? Give me a break.

I completely disagree. I think many people are underestimating our chances. The kid has consistently mentioned us among his favorites and has an OV scheduled. I don't know why so many people view this as a long shot. In my opinion if Cierre is in the 1,000 yard ballpark, we win 9+ games, and Keith follows through on his planned OV, he's ours.

I wish I felt this way, but after a couple months of checking the forums of his other favorites, I have came to the conclusion that this kid loves the spotlight, and Notre Dame gives the impression that a recruit is "big time" and that is why we continue to make the cut. I do think that we have a shot, but he has spoken as highly or higher about every one of his other favorites. In my opinion, a lot more than a good year by Cierre has to happen before we start thinking about Keith as anything more than a "best case scenario" type of recruit.

I see him going to whatever school is shining the brightest in public perception on NSD. Let's hope we are that team.

I know that his twitter account sometimes gives the impression that he's all about the attention, but I think he seems to be one of the smartest and hardest working kids in the class. And as a guy who is going to be 17 in a month, I can tell you that all he's done is act like most 17 year olds out there, and I don't think that means we can right this guy off as immature and all about the spotlight.

I also think it's ridiculous to suggest that his interest in ND isn't genuine. Why would we be one of his only 3 scheduled OVs if his interest in ND wasn't legit? For the attention? Do you really think this guy is that self-centered?

Like DomerInHappyValley said, by all accounts he plans on being an EE. The coaching staff is recruiting the hell out of Keith. We've seen what they can do when they go all out for a recruit. I think that if the season goes according to plan, Keith is in the fold by January.

In all fairness he is coming to the USC game, where half the recruiting class will also be. Not to mention he is friends with half of the recruits going to be there. Why would he not want to make that visit? Get away from home and hang out with a bunch of friends at what could be one the best atmospheres in college football this year.

He may be going to hang with friends, but once he experiences that atmosphere, ND will be looking good.

People say some dumb stuff on the internet. We may not be the favorite for Marshall, but we are in the mix. DGB seems very unlikely to end up at ND at this point, but the K. Marshall situation is different from DGB. He may not end up Irish, but it is certainly possible that he does.

UNC is beating James Madison 42-10 w three minutes left. Their top 2 runners have 25 carries for 124 yards. Not super impressive, although former ND commit Gio Bernard has 9 carries for 64 yards.

Atleast UGA lost to a good opponent ..

Assuming that's a ND reference.

No need to be paranoid. He's not going to take a cheap dig at a school he's considering. Sounds more like an attempt to rationalize why Georgia lost.

Exactly. Why would he diss a school in his top three?

i know this kids good and we need him, but i really don't like the arrogance. if we don't get him i'd love to play the team he goes to...sometimes i think someone needs to shut this kid up and feed him a piece of humble pie.

I don't see how he's arrogant. I doubt his post had anything to do with ND. Just because a kid is good and has a twitter doesn't make him arrogant. Hell, even if his post is about ND, he's right.

Nation’s No. 1 RB defends UGA’s Mark Richt after loss

“People need to stop hating on Coach Richt !!!”

“I do not want to be the only guy. I would love to play with another back because I do not want to take a beating. Especially in the SEC, if you want to have a long pro career, you want to split the carries with someone else. I saw Isaiah Crowell from last year and he is very good. I would like to play with a guy like that.”

Thats the only two quotes, it really seems he is loving on some georgia.

BK will get the guys needed. So far from the boys he has landed, they have all made noise. Hell, even Heggie is getting recognition for his ability to gain weight, strength and learn on the go at several spots. I will take whoever BK wants. Ranking or not.

To be even more blunt, if BK went after kids like Dieter over a complete recruiting cycle and nabbed 22 boys that have something to prove, I would be ok with that. (See Cincy)

Assuming wrong.

Richt/UGA is taking heat from other SEC schools. Check the SEC's opening week schedule.
UGA, LSU, and MS St played formidable opponents and went 1-2.
The rest of the conference was undefeated, 9-0, among a pathetic collection of Div 1 bottom feeders (mostly Steele rated between PS 100-120 worst) and Div 1AA teams.

Bama played Kent St. (PS 105)
UF whipped up on FL ATL (PS 117)
SCA beat up on ECU (PS 89)
UK got by Western KY (PS 114)
UTN played Montana (1AA)
Vandy had Elon (1AA)
AUB eked out a win over Utah St (PS 103)
Ark handled Missouri STATE (1AA)
MSSt beat up on mighty Memphis (PS 116)

Fixed. Although I thought Ole Miss had won so thanks for pointing out that they lost to me.

According to a Sports Illustrated article I read Georgia already has a highly rated RB from the 2013 class already committed, last name Henry or something like that. That could be a pretty crowded backfield or could allow Marshall to always split the carries with another highly rated back as he wants to per his tweets.

At least Georgia did play Bosie state. Unlike Bama playing Kent state. I understand that they have a history of playing together but come on guys play someone thats going to challenge you.
