I have only seen one game (the one on ENSPU) but I would pass. He has good potential based on measurables, but about as raw as you can be. If he didn't drop the ball he double caught every ball. A good press corner will shut him down until he is a upperclassmen IMO.

That is saying a whole lot after seeing only one game. Just curious, do you remember his stats from the game you watched? I do, I would just like you to look them up and explain why you would pass?

The kid is a stud. I think the scouting agencies compairing him to Randy Moss, AJ Green, Julio Jones, etc. is a little premature considering their elite status but make no mistake, this kid is the real deal.

The kid has horrible footwork and basically is just bigger than everyone in high school. He is really really raw. With that being said, his upside coupled with his size/speed is even more valuable. The coaching staff would be crazy not to offer this kid.

What kid really isn't? If peoplewant to rave on DG and say they would pass, or find flaws, in this kid as a HS senior your drunk!

Reminds me of watching Shaq at LSU. Dominant and unbelievable against competition half his size. Watching him trying to catch a ball looked like shaq shooting a free throw though. I am probably wrong, but I would take another elite recruit with the limited space. I think he would do better where he could be the feature WR. How many touches could the guy get when Golson has got Koyack,Daniels,Ferguson. Not to mention the last elite slot WR we will likely land or Darboh. We will have an amazing spread out attack. So I will take another D stud with the scholarship.

There is no question he's raw but he's a good kid that's got best of all time potential and most of his faults are easy fixes.

He won't be the best WR in this class freshman year but he will be by his sophomore and by his junior year there is no reason to believe that with his physical skills and coach-ability that he will be the best in college.

Personally I think he turns up field before making the catch. Also, he can position his body better on the catch. He did make a basket catch that he luckily trapped on his thigh on the way down. He should have extended his arms and used his hands to catch the ball. However, all things that can be corrected. He runs hard, runs fast, creates separation and he gets up! Way up! Those are the things that make him a top recruit. I say he is first round pick after JR season. At least I hope so for his sake. He deserves it. If he works his *** off for the next 4 years, he will have earned it as well.

People here do understand that every high schooler is "raw" and requires a ton of coaching, right?

I don't understand anything...how do I post? What happened to the game? Where am I?

On a serious note, most receivers are not polished when coming out of high school. You can find flaws in any recruit, and that is why player development is so important to a coaching staff. These kids need to be taught and molded into elite football players. They don't just come to your school and win All-American honors.

agreed...your list may not have been "molded" out of high school, but none the less they possessed the athleticism that helped their team win games as freshmen and there is zero doubt that DGB has that capability.

No. 1 recruit Dorial Green-Beckham will trim his list to five today. Free story from HawgSports.com

HawgSports.com - Green-Beckham shines in loss to Rogers Heritage

"We're going to sit down tomorrow afternoon and make sure that he's got his final five. I've already talked to a few coaches that know they're in the final five, and he got a few phone calls today," John Beckham said. "We're going to keep it quiet, that's just the way we're going to do it. I don't know if it's the right way or the wrong way. I've said several times that we don't have the blueprint for this, we're just doing what we feel's right for our family."

Cross your fingers folks. You don't see WRs like this every year.

Does anyone have any idea if we have a shot in his 5? I don't know who the others are, I assume Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri?

I saw the tweet, clicked on the link, didn't read it at all because I had something else I had to do right away. I assumed he was announcing it. Now that I read it, I see that he's not. Sorry for pulling the fire alarm guys!
