Sampson does a nice job. In addition to the Jones stuff, was good to hear him explain ND's position vis a vis conference affiliation (here, the Big 12, but would apply to whatever conference) in such a forceful and articulate way. I think a lot of the reasons for ND's independence get lost on people who follow other programs, but if it is explained the way Sampson just explained it, not sure how you could still have any questions.

You're right. He made some valid points on joining the Big 12 v. playing the big boys of the conference and eating our cake too. Did well to lay it out from ND's perspective.

Wow. Just rewatched his video. It looks like he's playing against children.

@ 2:46, he literally reaches over and around the small TE who's failing to block him and grabs the QB.

No it wouldn't. When Lynch decommited it was the perfect storm, his Mom being on here, the Navy whooping, Declean Sullivan's death and the Tulsa loss. Then after all that he decommits. Yes a lot of people acted like morons, but it was a series of events that led to that blow up, not just him decommiting.

Yes,I agree with my stance was a little rough...and to clarify things, I love JoePa.I think he is a hell of a coach, and you will NEVER see anyone like him coach again.period.
However, he has almost fervently admitted that he will never stop coaching until he croaks, and PSU certainly isnt going to get rid of him....couple that with every injury he attains from someone just standing within 10 ft of him(haha The Onion article)....and I just think it will happen eventually,unfortunately.

I wasn't trying to **** anyone off with my comment, if I did I'm sorry.I just got fired up when a supposed fan of ND started ripping our coach and a commit over something that wasn't even reliable.

Kelly has recruited a group defensive linemen who will be absolutely dominant in 2 years. And the dbs and lbs are also crazy good. I honestly don't know if Holtz ever did better in back to back years (I think I am going to have to go back and research that). These fellas should be dominant in both the 3/4 and 4/3 and when Diaco wants to dial up a blitz every now and then I pity that quarterback!

instead of bashing our coach and saying his recruiting tactics are immoral lets support the damn guy. thats why we have struggled the coach has had no support from fans and alumni. he is a great recruiter, who gives a s*** if he told the kid joe pa is old....HE IS! recruiting is an ugly business and we all know that. i'm sure if we were privvy to half the stuff that went on behind closed doors every coach would probably be hated. so congrats jarron welcome to ND, you have made a great choice that will beneoft you for the next 60-70 years. GO IRISH AND ONLY 4 MORE DAYS!!!!!
