Maybe you're right but try telling that to Al Davis! If you have 100m speed you're drafted, lol.
Trust me, I know.
I root for the Raiders. :X
Jacoby Ford is a beast though. haha

Whiskey Jack do you know if we are recruiting him?
He's at the top of our list. It's widely believed that whatever team signs him will be guaranteed to have winning seasons as long as he's there.

He has narrowed it down to 6 and will cut that to 5. They are keeping it quiet because anything can happen. We will need to make a BCS champ. run and also come hard at this kid. He will equally need to go as had in the classroom. I think both ND and him understand that we may be more than he can handle in the classroom. I have just heard way to much from way to many people that ND would be the wrong fit for him academically. Sad, yes, but I just hope he excels as a STUDENT athlete wherever he ends up. We have Floyd leaving and a chance for immediate PT. Thats the best thing we can offer. We have hard academics that he may or may not be able to handle ... thats our fall. I can;t wait to see this play out. Right now I will say ARK all the way. OU having Montoyer (spelling?) will cause him to think twice. I do know first hand ... as of right now ... ARK sits pretty.
Didn't people say the same about Mr. Lynch? If a kid is offered and commits I believe the program will give him all the necessary support so that he succeeds in the classroom... as long as he puts in an honest effort!!! The truth is that succeeding in undergrad is not about being brilliantly smart but rather working hard and being dedicated about succeeding in the classroom.
I saw this kid play yesterday and honestly I wasn't that impressed.
He obviously dominated the team they were against but then again I'd question the level of competition they present.
I'm sure he can be a good WR in college but I don't think we "need" him and frankly I don't think he'll be a gamebreaker in college.
There are similarities, so I get what you're saying. Unfortunately Lynch was attracted to ND immediately, and he spent his own money to make it to ND in the spring. DGB just hasn't shown that type of interest, and it's only in some ND fans' dreams that he'll be Irish.
Also, some kids just don't have the tools to succeed at ND, even with all the support in the world. If they don't have the fundamentals, they'll drown. It's just too tough for some kids. BK said as much...he won't take kids if they don't have the tools to succeed in the classroom. I'm not saying DGB is like that, but there is the fear there within his camp, per dboe, who knows people in that area. It'd be great if he could fight them off and come to ND, but it looks like it's 99% against that happening.
Do you think they would have offered and be pursuing him if they didn't think he had the tools to succeed in the classroom?

You can't teach 6'6....
You can't teach 4.40...
You can coach him up...don't kid yourselves bhoys..
Do university/team rules allow players to be flat out C or C- students and still be a part of the team?
I have only seen one game (the one on ENSPU) but I would pass. He has good potential based on measurables, but about as raw as you can be. If he didn't drop the ball he double caught every ball. A good press corner will shut him down until he is a upperclassmen IMO.
