One of the quarterbacks could see time with specific package/wouldn't say which one.

I guess Kelly wasn't kidding when he said Niklas is incredible in space.

Does this mean Councell gets his first look at Cat?

Yea there was virtually no mention of Councell during all of camp. Wonder if he is having trouble adjusting.

Not sure Councell was as physically matured as some of the other members of this class. No mention of him doesn't mean he won't contribute. He just may need a year in the weight room first.

Kyle beat out Ruffer for kickoffs! Can't wait to see him put one thru the posts!

Who's the #3 Cat OLB now? I was counting on Niklas.

So it's Crist as the number 1, with Hendrix (most likely) coming in for a series or two every game as a change of pace.

Rees is number 2 and if anything happens to Dayne will be the starter with Hendrix (most likely) continuing to do his thing.

I hate to be 'that guy', but this is the exact scenario I have been advocating for/predicting since before spring practice. I never really doubted it until about four days ago, but now that it appears we'll see it I'm definitely pumped.

You're probably right, but that doesn't really inspire confidence.

I mean....its the #3 guy. How confident do you expect to be? I could envision Filer making a good showing if he were pushed into action. For a #3, we could do worse.

I'm worried more for 2012. We lose both the #1 and #3 Cat to graduation next spring. That leaves only Ishaq. Who's the #2 then?

It's the most important position in Diaco's scheme. The seeds of tomorrow's success must be planted today!
