I was under the impression that of Jones, Day, and Shutt, Day was the least likely to commit to us. Jones has seemed like an ND lean since his decommitment from PSU, and since Schutt is down to UF and ND, with a visit to ND (none to UF) he seemed like an ND lean as well. I don't know anything beyond what you guys post on here, but this was my feeling.

Having said that, this is great news. Welcome to the team!

Ps, and don't try to tell me PSU still leads for Jones. I'm not buying it.

I usually temper my enthusiasm, but things are about to get SERIOUS in South Bend in the next few years, and all signs are pointing to this being just one of several big time commits the Irish will be receiving in August. Awesome news and by all accounts Sheldon was not planning on announcing anytime soon. I wonder if those guys out West in his ear helped, and then he caught wind of maybe some other commits on the horizon which would mean its now or never for any DL recruit, and spots in general could be at a premium very shortly. Either way awesome news. Now if we can land one of our 4-star RB recruits, maybe B Marshall is blown away on his visit? and if we can land Schutt in the coming weeks that would put us in position to be lined up for another top 8 class going into the season with USC weekend still to come.
