I'd only take those lines for Michigan and Pitt.

I'm all over the air force line, but I wouldn't touch the Stanford with a 10 foot pole.

I'm actually the opposite regarding Air Force. Trap game (right after Pitt and before hated USC - which could be one of the hottest tickets in all of college football if both teams start off hot), funky offense, much better team than nationally given credit for, well-coached team (sound familiar?), etc. That game scares the holy crap out of me.

I'm with you on Stanford though.

Las Vegas Hilton Releases College Football Win Totals | Kegs 'n Eggs Blog

Notre Dame 8.5 (-130 over)

This does not include a bowl game. The (-130 over) means you would have to bet $130 to win $100 on the over.

I arranged the 35 teams that Hilton listed by Win Total. ND 8.5 and four '11 Opponents, SU 9, MSU and USC both 7.5, and UM 7, made the list. Oregon and OSU aren't lised because of "too much uncertainty".

Boise St. 10.5 –120o

Alabama 10 -120o
Oklahoma 10
Virginia Tech 10

Florida State 9.5 -130o
LSU 9.5 -160u
Nebraska 9.5 -140o
West Virginia 9.5 -140u
Wisconsin 9.5 -120o

TCU 9 -130u

Notre Dame 8.5 -130o
Arkansas 8.5
BYU 8.5 -150o
Georgia 8.5 -160o
Oklahoma St 8.5
Texas A&M 8.5 -120u

Arizona St. 8 -120o
Miami 8 -120u
Nevada 8 -125u
North Carolina 8 -130o
Texas 8

Michigan State 7.5 -120o
USC 7.5 -130o

I think I'll watch the USF game before convincing myself any of those odds are good or bad.

I know, and I agree, but isn't taking the over on 8.5 wins TEMPTING AS HELL???

I think it's spot on as far as odds go, for I'm in the minority here, and predicted an 8-4 season a while back. Fortunately the more I read, the more over 8.5 wins does look probable.

8.5 with an over is easy pickings imo. 2 game improvement over last year? I think so.

Yeah, I have us at 9-3, but as the season approaches and my kool-aid gets spiked with a little more green vodka day by day, I'm swinging towards a 10-2 prediction. The problem is that our schedule is tougher than most think. When you look at it on the whole (not game by game), it is really tough. No gimmes outside of Wake Forest, and it's tough to play so many quality opponents game after game. 10 bowl teams from last year (I include USC) - that gets tough game after game. So it tempers my expectations.

You're absolutely right on a few of the less ballyhooed games being tougher in reality than on paper. Maryland concerns me, as does Air Force. They don't scare me, just concern me.

There is zero margin for error this season if 10-2 is going to happen (I know "duh"). USF, Purdue, Air Force, Wake Forest, Maryland, Pitt, BC, and Navy will all be unacceptable losses should they happen IMO.

Dumping 2-3 of these softer spots on the schedule has derailed the last few seasons, but we do have a more resilient coach now who will have them up every week no matter what happened the one before, so 10 wins is certainly in the realm of possible.

*I think my kool-aid was just spiked too lol.....
