We are just behind FSU for best tradition. Same percentage, down by about 13 votes when I voted. OSU is only behind us by 14 votes and also has 15 percent.

We are behind LSU by 16 percent for best gameday experience. Yes, we are in second place.

Note: I can't believe how much Saban is dominating the "best head coach" poll.

LSU has the best gameday experience? I guess if you like being physically assaulted by deranged swamp dwellers, then LSU takes the cake.

Clearly, drunkenness and crowd volume are the two most important ingredients to an enjoyable Saturday of CFB.

Sounds like you've been to Death Valley.

This is twice in the last few weeks that people have voted for FSU's "tradition." The program is in its infancy compared to some of the best college football programs, and they don't have enough fans to fill their stadium. What am I missing?

The average age of those voting in such polls. It's probably mid-20s; so many CFB fans are too young to appreciate a history and tradition like ours.

That's why Oregon can become the new bandwagon team by wearing a swanky new uniform every week, and why a painted guy on horseback with a flaming spear beats out programs with real tradition. Welcome to Generation ADD.

I hear you, but I am in my mid-20's (OK, late 20's), and I am generation ADD (or ADHD). Still don't get it. I think people are just dumb. I'll come right out and say it.

I'm late '20s myself, but as ND fans, we appreciate real tradition because we have it. For those in our demographic who only follow CFB generally, or who follow a team without tradition, they simply don't get it.

As it should be.

Nick Saban the best coach? Chris Petersen does more with less every season.

Bob Stoops constantly gets poopoo'ed even though he has the highest winning percentage of any coach in college football.
