I'd rather him go to Alabama than Michigan or IU. I know we don't care about IU because they're not that good, but having a 5-star QB could pull future skill position guys toward IU, ND's home state.

I've tried to start conversations about GK with a few IU fans over the summer, and there have been four responses out of the eight I talked to (all fellas, all 23-27):

4 replied with: Who? Who is that?
2 thought I was referring to the Kiel already on the team.
1 thought he was a basketball recruit.
1 actually knew who he was and was elated.

Good for him if he chooses IU...but I hope he realizes what he's getting himself into in terms of playing in front of 45,000 fans who will leave early if the basketball team is playing Athletes in Action in an October exhibition game.

Yeah but that doesn't mean Kiel can't choose that school. He has said he doesn't care what style of offense he plays in.

Yes but not the Oregon/Brian Kelly spread. The run a fair amount of plays from under center (I believe 40-50%). Their base offense is 3 WR 1 TE and 1 RB.

Knight decommitted from Texas A&M. He also considered Texas Tech, TCU, Baylor, Clemson, LSU and Oklahoma State.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound prospect passed for 1320 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior. He rushed for another 1055 yards and 12 scores.
Knight becomes the 11th commitment for the Sooners

Kiel is the quitest 5* QB in history. So it cracks me up when people say "team x" is out of the running when he never says one word about it either way. The teams HE SAYS are in it, are the teams that are in it. Plain and simple.
