Kansas were/are, in my estimation, merely dust in the corner of my eye. They caught my ear but were more an irritant than an inspiration.



Kansas is one of the states I've never visited --- or even driven through.

Elvis has some serious musical chops. I've seen him perform live in New Orleans (at the Jazz Fest) collaborating with the likes of Aaron Neville and others. Good chit!

Indeed. I did have the privilege of catching Fats one year. The list of performers I've seen there is long. N'awlin's does music up right! Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!

My only musical talent is my ear and my ability to bob my head to the beat. Were that me on the Alto Sax I'd have been a 4 year old prodigy.

Note: Just recently was Kodachrome film retired after approx. 75 years.

From a comment on that video's page:

Kodachrome 64 and Kodachrome 64 Professional 135 format were discontinued in June 2009. The last emulsion batch was numbered 1563, labeled with an expiration date of November 2010.

Kodachrome is the trademarked brand name of a type of color reversal film that was manufactured by Eastman Kodak starting in 1935. On June 22, 2009, Kodak announces that it will discontinue sales of the Kodachrome Color Film, concluding its 74-year run as a photography icon.

I miss Kodachome and Ektachrome. They were my color mainstays back in the day.

Then there were all the slides my dear old dad left behind.
