Per 247:
#NotreDame commit Tee Shepard tells BlueandGold.com that him and Deontay Greenberry will be visiting in late June instead of this weekend.

Hopefully this coincides with Geno Smith's visit.

That would be glorious. And set up an epic defense/offense matchup with Oklahoma in '13 lol.

Tee Shepard to transfer to schools this Fall...

Tee Shepard to transfer to schools this Fall...

Just got word at a passing tourny this weekend that Tee will be transfering from Central H.S. to Washington Union to play with his friend/cousin and fellow ND commit Deontay Greenberry.

That's pretty cool. Not to mention they'll probably get a lot of one on one against each other.

Nice! He's also likely to be moving up on 247 considerably when they redo their rankings per chatter after some of his camp performances.

Tee would probably have to bump Yuri Wright out as 247's #1 CB in order to get another 5th star.

I don't think he'll get a 5th star on 247, ESPN or Rivals. I do think he'll jump up into the top 10 CBs on 247... they underrated him considerably because he is "slow" based on some old 40 times but has played dominantly in camps.

CHICAGO, IL (May 25, 2011): The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl is pleased to announce that two of the nation’s top prospects, Deontay Greenberry (Washington Union High School; Fresno, CA) and Tee Shepard (Central East High School; Fresno, CA) are the first two commitments to the annual high-school all-star game . This annual competition will showcase 100 of the best gridiron high school seniors in the nation in a traditional East-West format game and the inaugural Semper Fidelis All American Bowl will take place in Phoenix, AZ on January 3, 2012.

5. Tee Shepard, CB, Fresno (Calif.) Central East
Sometimes lack of activity is a good thing when referring to a cornerback. Tee Shepard was rarely tested this weekend but that was because the big corner rarely gave an inch to opposing receivers. Shepard’s physicality at the line of scrimmage was terrific and he has positioned himself for a major rankings boost.
Recruiting: Shepard is a solid commitment to Notre Dame.

Since Shepard's already very highly rated by the recruiting services, I'm trying to imagine what a "major rankings boost" would be. Consensus 5:s:?

Probably like Lynch last year. He shot up about 30 spots on ESPN150. I'm sure Tee will do the same...I was surprised he was that low to begin with.

I think once the season is over and he has played in the All-Star games he has a legit shot at getting 5:s:

Shephard is going to bump up to a top 5ish CB in each service, but not likely 5* on anywhere but Scout. The other guy in line for a huge boost when the rankings get an update is Perkins who will be a high/mid 4* across the board (if Scout/Rivals follow through on the glowing reviews they have given him).

I'm interested to see how Harrel moves around and also Ferguson.

I'm really excited about this kid and what he will bring to our defense. Sounds like he had a stellar performance.

Words I love when they are used to describe CB's.

I would think Greenberry would move up as well... he received nothing but rave reviews from ESPN for his performance at camps out west all summer

i'm curious though...if greenberry is doing so well on the camp circuit at wideout why is he playing mostly DB on his 7 on 7 team? This may end up being good for him in the long run, but i'm a little disappointed he isn't getting more reps at WR

I hope our opponents enjoyed putting up big numbers against our D for the past few years, because those days are over. I am extremely excited about the future of this defense

I have never really followed camp performances until this year. Which, if any, camp is considered "thee" camp to attend? The Nike camp seems to have a ton of highly ranked players. What others stand out as far as competition? I love watching the all-star games but I don't put much stock into the performances during the games. I prefer to focus on how each recruit is doing during camps/practices.
