I'd say fact: with the questions at QB the O line is going to need to play well. and if the D line has a good year it will help protect the lack of depth at DB

Fiction: Notre Dame was already on a slight decline, as newer scholarship limits hurt their depth and overall team speed. Also there's the speculation that Lou Holtz's recruiting tactics weren't quite pristine.

Fact. Great question, and I think he'll put the ball on the ground more often than we'd like unfortunately. But he'll be near the sideline for many and Notre Dame will recover more than not. How many turnovers will be accounted to him via fumble? I'll go with four.

Fiction. The offense will be too focused on the ground game, and the touches will primarily get to Floyd, Riddick, Eifert, Jones and then even Wood. He'll get time on the field, but that would require him getting something like 25 receptions and I don't see it.

Hopefully I'm wrong and Notre Dame goes on to squash some teams so the young players get time and he pulls down a few.
