I wasn't trying to be facetious about the young man, just making an observation about his current strength. I'm sure Longo will have no problem showing him where the weight room is and how to use the equipment. He's just not very strong for his size.

We are kicking tail in secondary recruiting. And it's early.

Good choice CJ. Glad to have you aboard.

Big get for ND.

Kid is a stud.

I'm not entirely sold yet. Plays against very weak competition where he lives in VA. I'm waiting to see if he goes to any camps/all-star games before I label him a "stud." Seems to have phenomenal ball skills (but those were some god awful throws) but very average speed.

Interested to see who we take as our 5th DB with the 4 we currently have on board.

I think he is going to have a big adjustment to make, no doubt his competition is weak, but you can't fake size and speed. It will come down to whether he wants it or not. The fact that he chose Notre Dame, and not Virginia, Duke, Vanderbilt, or even Stanford, tells me the kid wants to play.

I've been waiting a long time for us to land a big physical fast safety, maybe he turns out to be that.

Yea don't really know what to make of this. Congrats to the kid but wonder if we should have held out. Watched the video and the thing I like is he has a nose for the ball. Anyone have any other exciting info on the kid?

Between 6' and 6'2" weighing 190 lbs. Also doesn't really look like a burner (to me) watching his film. Ball-hawking safety? Definitely. Also certainly seems to have enough speed to play the position. But I'm not so sure if I would describe him as big-physical-fast. Certainly love his potential though... I know it's only a highlight film but I just love the way he plays the ball in the air. Great reaction, concentration, leaping ability, etc. People far too often underestimate the importance of someone's innate ability to play the ball in the air versus 40 times and other stats. The ability to be in the right place at the right time and win a 50/50 ball is huge when it comes to getting a W.

Now, if only somehow we could combine him and Badger into one guy...... that would be one hell of a complete safety prospect for the 2012 class. Looking at you, scientists.

Your right I made those statements before I watched the video to be honest. He definitely looks like he has a nose for the ball though.

Supposedly Nick Saban prefers DBs who played outfield for precisely this reason.

Congrats...

Wonder what this will do with Geno and Yuri still looking at us....

Good question...maybe depends on when Badger comes back.

I believe they want 6 DBs in this class, we have 4 right now (if they all stick) for sure, question is do we get 2 more? Or just 1? Does Badger come back in August/September in time for the fall season or after the semester if he misses too much of it?

Lots of names, elite ones at that, still out there interested in ND: Shumate, Shaq, Geno, Yuri, and Bush to name a few of the ones most talked about.

I would find it hard to believe if the staff would not take two of the five from that list if they wanted to come, but we will see. Good problems to have.

Either way, back to and glad to hear about #4! Welcome to the family CJ!

I know he's listed as a 'S' and has ball skills but he honestly looks like he could be a good WR

wonder how he tackles? looks like all he does is run balls back for TD's and intercept balls lol

I wonder if they'll use him at strong safety. He looks fast until you watch Deon Bush's highlights again..
