Wasn't committable apparently

Other prospects are higher on their list

See: Andrus Peat

Is there a legitimate shot with him? I thought he was Nebraskas to lose because of his brother or is that not a deciding factor for him? Just a quick question or two then back to Patrick.

Saw something yesterday that we were really recruiting Peat hard and it really got his attention. I believe he is trying to set up a visit for the summer.

I assume as the board generally does that there are a bunch of higher rated targets here [at O-Line], and also assume that the Staff thinks that they're in good position for about three more commits. If so, the odds are that they will come from the west. Most of our listed O-Line offers are from WA,CA,AZ,NV. There seems to be mostly a scattering elsewhere [FL,OH,TX etc]. I don't know whose recruiting region that western area is, but we seem to need him [and coach Warriner] to work some magic. My crude study of regional football culture seems to indicate that west-coasters tend to pull the trigger on verbals slower than southerners [a soft statistical leaning], so maybe there is no need to be concerned, as perhaps a lengthier "courtship" is necessary in that environment.

we are definitely passing on some elite talent...if we're passing on them with hopes of landing the studs we've already offered we have the chance to really reel in an awesome O Line class.

Dembrock recruits the west and I think warriner the midwest so i'm sure they're busy dudes.

Sounds crazy but I think we land Garnett, Peat, and Harrell in this class. It's lousy to miss out on a guy like DeStefano because he has great potential, but he doesn't have an offer for a reason. The staff is feeling good in other places. In my opinion, Garnett is the best OL prospect in this class.
