He is still a long shot at best. It will be very difficult to get him out of the south. Auburn and Alabama are his top two but I bet UGA will be in it at the end.

FWIW he is also tight with Keith Marshall.

If he gets on campus, anything can happen. Notre Dame is hallowed ground. It's one of those places in the world that has it's own aura. It's unexplainable, but it's there.

Off topic: don't call me stupid or roll your eyes but I remember watching a show years ago on history channel about ND. From what I remember it came around the lines that the monks picked South Bend for their campus because there was a "line of energy" that ran through it. To me it explained the reason why I get a good feeling every time I'm there.

Just wanted to throw that in there. Ok back to Geno.

Wow, amazing... I still get the feeling he doesn't want to go into a class with 2 other top db's already commited.. but if we added him and say yuri or shaq, that'd have to be more impressive than what we did at DE last year right?

This DB class has the potential to be better than last years DE class. If that's even possible.

Umm.... Tee, Darby, Nicky, Geno, and Yuri would probably almost make the best DB class ever.

Like I can't fathom the amount of change our DBs are about to do.

Things are looking up for ND.

Great to be in his top three but I think Bama is the team to beat. I was surprised not to see Georgia on this list. Being in his top 3, Im sure ND will get that summer visit and that always helps. He has been to Bama on more than one occasion so the shock factor is out of it for them.

The only way this DB class touches what ND did in the front seven from last year is if they land Shaq/Blanks, Wright, and Smith to go along with what they already have.

Setting up a visit this summer very soon. Might also take more than one visit to South Bend. Talking with Coach Martin tonight to set it up.

I was hoping he'd come up when Tee and DG came up. Good chance for Tee to talk in his ear. I'm sort of surprised he's giving ND a closer look. In the beginning I was thinking it was more lip service. IMO - he sees his future front 7 and the outstanding DBs ND has so far this year and he wants to be a part of it. With Tee and RD committed I don't see the "competition" for playing time---I see them all on the field at once one way or another meaning one may move to safety over time. Great options nonetheless. Would love to have him.

I'm happy to hear he is setting up his visit with his mom. Sometimes that can really push a kid over the top if everything goes well. Adding someone like Geno to this DB class would be fantastic. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope he and his mom have a wonderful visit.

He's going to be visiting all 5 of his top schools this summer. ND is the first stop on his summer 'tour'. He wants to make his decision by the end of summer, but his coach said he's not sure that will happen (but the coach hopes it does).
