I posted this on ISD, but he goes to the same school as my niece. I texted her about him and she knows him but not too well (he is older than she is), but she did say that he was a really nice guy and that he is HUUUUUUUGGGGEEEE. He'd be a really good get but O-Line is filling up fast, so not sure how much of a shot we'll really have...

You know something I don't? I count 1 OLineman so far.

We may have only one right now but expect that to change at some point soon, we are doing well with a lot of other lineman and by the time he gets a chance to visit we could even be full.

My feeling about all these offensive line prospects is that they should be anxious to get to Notre Dame now [assuming that they're basically good people with brains to graduate]. That's because the Staff Kelly system of nutrition, strength&conditioning, and coaching line-play is going to develop them as far as they want to go on their own willpower.

Of course these young folks can't see that yet --- that's why we could really use getting them to campus to meet the coaches and their future line buddies. All that also means that we can do all that on a superior basis without five-stars if we never get any of those rarities. Strong three stars and four stars will emerge as great linemen in this system.

So, young Erik, good Viking that you are, come to the Irish, just as your forebears came to Ireland in the hey-day of Viking power.

From Stanford's Nike Camp, under "Weekend's Best":

Magnuson has an excellent frame, good feet and plays with a nasty streak. He was dominant in one-on-ones and looked good athletically moving around in position drills. Combine what he showed Sunday with what he shows on film and there’s a good chance that Magnuson could move up our rankings when they are updated again. Currently, he’s the No. 13 offensive tackle prospect in the country. Arizona, Miami (Fla.), Michigan, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA and others have offered the 6-foot-5, 275-pounder.

Any relation to Magnus? Automatically becomes my favorite prospect if he is.

The ND staff is telling Rivals they feel great about where they stand with a recruit?

Considering you're not allowed to publicly comment on recruits, I also question the validity of the statement you quoted.

Not exactly, but i am sure Terry Tate knows what i am taling about.

He's referring to a poster who has obvious familiarity with program and sentiments of the staff.

This person says we're sitting in good position with several Cali players
