Teammate of Safety Elijah Shumate, as well as other Rivals 250 Watchlist players WR Leonte Carroo and DE Darius Hamilton. Big cornerback with a frame Diaco covets.

Hope we have better luck with this crop of Ironmen than the most recent recruits, i.e. Brian Toal and Justin Trattou. Ryan Grant was a good player for us from DB, though.

This is in Diaco's backyard. I know we missed in NJ on Schuler and Huggins, but surely he can land at least one of these guys!

He has great height. Leads me to wonder why wingspan is never a measurable. Robert Blanton has arms that hang to his ankles and is a key reason why he gets a lot of break ups.

He also turns around and locates the football while it's in the air.

With his offer list he will be ranked soon enough. Not sure if this is right or not, but I base a recruit's talent by who else wants him (outside of ND) and nowadays if you see schools like Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Florida St., USC, Ohio St. and others on a offer list you know the kid can play.

From Rival's Monday Mailbag:

Is the talent level in New Jersey as good as it was last year?

- John from Wayne, N.J.

I think it's going to be more talented at the top but maybe not quite as deep as last year. The 2011 class in Jersey was very deep with guys such as Savon Huggins, Anthony Sarao, Miles Shuler, Marquise Wright, Damiere Byrd, Sheldon Royster, Bill Belton, Connor Wujciak, Josue Matias and others. All of those guys ended up in the Rivals250 which is impressive and there might not be as many four stars this year but I think there are more high-end prospects.

Darius Hamilton and Devin Fuller are both absolute studs and guys like Elijah Shumate, Leonte Carroo, Yuri Wright, Quanzell Lambert and others are not that far behind. I think you'll see as many if not more guys in major all-star games and I can say with near certainty that the highest-ranked player in Jersey should be in the national top 30 rather than outside the top 50 like 2011.

Tee and Yuri.... I could get used to hearing those names on defense.

Our front 7 is looking good. Time to get lock down corners.

Pleasant surprise...would love to land him. He's the elite type of guy who can come in and help the moment he steps on campus.

Per Scout he's up to 19 offers adding VT, UGA, UM, USC, WIS among others in the past month.

Scout lists him at 6-2 compared to Rivals 6-0.

He 45 tackles and 6 ints, 2 int return TDs in 2010.
