No real surprise, he was toast a long time ago.

Source: UT parting ways with Pearl - CBSSports.com

Not true at all actually. As matter of fact, in February Mike Hamilton held a press conference where he stated that Bruce Pearl would be the coach even if he were to be suspended for a year. It wasn't until the letter of allegations revealed that Bruce Pearl committed another violation four days after his press conference where he apologized (with tears) for his actions. It was the intent of the administration to keep Bruce Pearl around. That's why they were taking so much heat from the national media.

Number one factor for the AD when selecting the candidate should be a unquestionable regard for NCAA rules and regulations. That university has been hit in virtually all of the major sports.

I live about thirty seconds from USI where Pearl got his head coaching start. Never Never Never would I have thought that this is how it would end for him. Seemed like such a stand up guy while he was here. Now I wonder what he got away with.

dude, he was cheating and lying right up to the bitter end...i just hope some of the sanctions and penalities are able to follow some of these guys on to their next jobs (or prevent them from getting another one)...must be a terrible coach, cheating as much as he was (and alot more will come out) and winning as little...tennessee is better off for having him outa there...now its the ad's turn, he's a scum too and was just trying to cover his own ***

This is the SEC griff, where if you're not being investigated you're not trying.

Those are some harsh, harsh statements. I don't support or condone cheating, but I'm not going to wish someone bad luck in their career or say they aren't good at it. Telling someone they aren't good at what they're passionate about is a kick below the belt. You're statements are so filled with what sounds like blind dislike of Pearl. Without looking it up, do you even know what rules he was accused of breaking?
