I need to do a presentation on someone i believe should be famous to replace a current celebrity. Its a pretty simple assignment but i need a subject.

Potentials so far are:
Father Hesburgh
Cornell West
Daniel Choi

it can be anyone from 1910-present.
So any suggestions on other potential people?

The problem with the people that I have seen mentioned so far (e.g., Father Hesburgh) is that the very fact that we all know who these people are indicates that they have at least some degree of celebrity already. Maybe you need someone more obsure--someone who not many people at all know, but who is doing great things and should be known. The only way I know of discovering that type of person might be to ask around. One suggestion I might have is Father Daniel Scheidt who is the pastor of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka. He was extremely instrumental in inspiring and developing the IPhone "Confession App" which was all over the national news a couple of weeks ago. Just a thought.

I get what your saying, which is why i am asking around. Us as ND fans know Hesburgh but my sister doesn't. I am certain most of my friends don't. The person has to of had accomplished dsomething to merit celebrity but not be a household name is what i mean.
