Offered per ISD, Scout. Considering a visit this weekend to Junior Day, but not a definite. Offered along with teammate Corey Smith; the pair have repeatedly said they wish to play together at the next level.

6'3 and 190 as a junior in highschool? Wow. Wilson and Carter as future ND safeties would be amazing.

I think 6 is the target, but the staff may take a few WR/DB guys to load up.

Do you really turn away a high 4 star guy? Probably not with our depth chart in those areas.

Staff wants to haul a class resembling the DL / LB class of last year with DB's and Safeties

His teammate Corey Smith committed to Tennessee a few weeks ago, so I guess that means they won't be playing together like they talked about.

I have been told that his top three are Michigan, Penn State, and Notre Dame.

His high school coach played for Michigan and is tight with Mattison. He "claims" that he isn't trying to push him to any school in particular though.

I would feel better about him if Ohio State offered. Either way he's a four-star guy on Rivals and Scout and if the Irish staff think he's good enough to get an offer as a part of this great DB class then he certainly is.

3 * or 4 * OSU offer or not the kid can ball and i would love to have him. Put Tee Sheppard and Ron Darby back there with him it will only make players better and trust me recruits see that.

I don't mean to say he's not worthy, the kid is a stud. But I always wonder what the reasons are when the dominant school in a state doesn't offer a stud. I'd wonder the same thing with OU and an Oklahoman, UT and a Texan, or Nebraska and a Nebraskan. Just curious.

Although, we could all probably agree Ohio State's coaching staff is a little busy with other matters. :)

I like our chances, but my gut says he'll pick UM. I hope he picks ND though. Would love to have this kid.

I can't express how much I love the way this staff recruits. When BK first got hired and he discussed his method, I knew right away it would work out. To others this might seem like he's loading up in the secondary, but most, if not all of these kids could play offense too. Either way, you're bringing in a great athlete (the kind of athletes ND hasn't seen in a long time).

I wish there was more on this guy playing the run. From what I see in the vids, this guy is a ball hawk and has that mindset. Especially since he's playing 20 yards deep in half the video it seems. I like his size and who well he plays the ball in the air, but I'd like to see a bit more hard nose action.

What in the world happens if this kid commits this weekend? Do we shut her down or keep the doors open if Smith, Shumate, etc want on this gravy train? That's a whole lot of DBs for this class. It's making me anxious for some reason.

I say we celebrate. This is a great problem to have; the staff can figure it out later. Unlike our RB problem right now. Hopefully we get some of those.

I sure hope we have that "problem." IMO we will make room for 1 more, and it would be Shumate.

I was just looking at the '2012 visits' thread created by ironman and noticed Wilson was visiting June 10th. Does anyone have news on how that went?
