The difference between Hockey Players and other players is that there are un-written rules. And I think the jerk off that side swiped Crosby will pay a price in the end. I don’t give a crap what player on what team...those head shots to players that are "defenseless" need to stop ... that is a person’s lively hood and career.

ANY PLAYER!

I wish IE had a cage! ;)

Typical Flyers fan. Hey do me a favor and keep chanting Crosby sucks when he gets the puck. He continually torches the Flyers but your lame brain fans can't get the picture.

Also as much as the Flyers disgust me, I would never wish what happened to Crosby on anyone of those players. The guy got 2 concussions in 3 days. It's a game. That's not cool.

Did I ever say anything about his concussion?? Nope I don't wish that on anyone, but i've thought long before he's a huge vagina. I hate the fact that he skated into a guy that resulted in his concussion and he bitches and whines like he was blind sided, when it was his **** up in the first place. I don't know if your like most Pens fans and just realized the game existed in 2005, but there once was a guy named Eric Lindros who's career was ruined by a concussion and i hate seeing it happen to players
Beat me to it... For being "a huge vagina" he sure can lift that Stanley Cup better than anyone from Philly in the last 35 years...

It's okay though, Penner is just happy because he believes this actually gives his third rate club a chance for the division since they can't beat Pittsburgh with a healthy Crosby... unfortunately for him there is another 'huge vagina' named Malkin that they can't handle either...

;)

have at it KP

I don't really care that the Flyers haven't one won in my lifetime. I'll say it once and i'll say it again i'll take being a Flyer fan over a Pen fan anyday. The Flyers have always spent money and tried to win and have consistanly made the playoffs.

The Penguins on the other hand tank for a handfull of years collect top 5 draft picks and thanks to a lottery their good again. Oh yeah and almost move to Kansas City. What a great franchise.

It wasn't a hit. Crosby wasn't paying attention and ran into him.

Yea, Crosby ran into Steckel who just happened to have his elbow up. Look I am not going to argue whether the hit was dirty or not. The league already made their decision, no sense in rehashing it. But how any sane minded human being can say Crosby RAN INTO Steckel is simply mind boggling to me.

Steckel is trying to skate up ice and Crosby skates into him.

Ok Sparky, I will play your game. First of all I am not going to argue about fan loyalty or how long either one of us have been following our respective teams. I have been watching Penguin hockey for as long as I can remember, just as I am sure you have been watching the Flyers. I openly admit the Pens have alot of bandwagoners who only got on board a few years ago, but let's not be naive, EVERY fan base has that. Can I mention Washington Capitals? How many of their fans showed up prior to Ovechkin. Not even worth arguing because every city has them.

Don't act like the Flyers are competitive every year. I remember 2006, what did you guys have, 56 points? Sorry your 2nd overall pick hasnt turned into a superstar yet. Not our fault that that draft outside of Patrick Kane didnt yield any overnight impact. As a knowledgable hockey fan you should know the NHL, much like MLB, did not operate on a level playing field. The Penguins played in a dilipadated arena, a small market that I hate to admit in a city that is dominated by the Steelers. That is just the way it is. Yes they threatened to move to Kansas City, No they were never serious about it. This is how they got their new rink. We do it this way, you do it another way. But not liking the way the Pens went about it is no reason to take a shot at the franchise.

I never said you specifically wished Crosby get a concussion. But what I don't like about fans like you is you let your hatred blind you. Any normal hockey fan will admit that the guy is a stud on the ice, and you would love to have him on your team. There is no denying his talent.

You also mentioned the Flyers consistently make the playoffs. Did you not realize the pens made the playoffs every year in the 90's? The franchise fell on hard times and was fortunate enough to get guys like Malkin and Crosby. Again, dont blame the pens because you drafted Van Riemsdyk 2nd overall, its not their fault that draft wasnt stacked like some others in the middle of the decade.

That is all I have to say.

Just using the Pen as my example.

And yeah the Flyers had a bad year because they were a very very bad team. And guess what?? They spent money made some really really good trades and made the ECF's the next year. They didn't lose 5 straight years and collect draft picks.

What does JVR have to do with anything? He was a project and pretty much everyone realized that when he was drafted. I'm not really seeing where he comes into play.

I wonder if it would be a dirty hit if it was on Richards...hmmmmmmmmmmm!"!??!?

Nope. I watched Lindros' careers get destroyed and i can't remember all the hits, but a good majority of his concussiosn were his fault and is what happened to Crosby. Not having his head up

On a second viewing, I'm not sure the guy went to hit Crosby. Hell, I guess we'll never know... Why would he be playing if he had just suffered a concussion?

I remember Lindros had a bad habit of droping his head to bad because that ended a career that could of been special.

Crosby does not have that same problem...his head was up and looking the other way, puck was gone and Steckls elbow came up. end

On an unrelated note Peter Forsberg's attempting yet another comeback. He just needs to give it up

The point I was trying to make about Van Riemsdyk is that yes he was a project, he wasn't NHL ready right away, like a guy like Crosby or Malkin was. It was simply the nature of the draft. My point was don't blame the Penguins because drafts where they got some good picks were stacked. In other words, had a guy like Ovechkin or Toews or Stamkos or any other highly rated player come out in 2007 and the Flyers nabbed him 2nd overal, would you still be making the same argument regarding the Penguins getting lucky with the draft?

Also I respectfully ask that we not discuss drafts because while I love Jordan Staal and think he can become the preeminent defensive forward, outside of Datsyuk, in the league, knowing the Pens could have taken Toews or Niklas Backstrom still makes me cringe.

Can't beleive FOrsberg is trying to come back...isnt this his 3rd try?

Yeah he needs to give it up. I think it's #3 I'm not positive though. I'd like to see Foppa do well, but I don't think it's likely

I think Staal's a better fit for then then either Toews or Backstrom woulda been
