And...Krecji goes down - looked serious at first but looks to be okay now. That would really test the center depth that is supposed to be the biggest strength on the team (besides goaltending)

As much as I don't want to trade him, we kind of have to at this point to get the most value we can. I think there are going to be a few teams seriously interested if he comes back healthy, especially in the crazy tight west race. Trust me I don't want anyone good ever going to Boston.

What's interesting about the Broons is they got a 1st from Toronto to dangle to people if need be

I was actually just talking to a bunch of Bruin's fans about that pick and using it on Parise. They adamently want to keep that pick and use it in the draft, and make any other manuvers by all other possible means. That pick is going to be a good one.

IMO picks in the NHL are way way way to overvalued.

It's the same in the NBA and NFL for the most part. I would much rather have a good, proven player than a hit-or-miss pick, especially if it is not a lottery or top selection.

I agree about Parise, but to me Fisher is 50/50. The problem is he makes $4 million i think and he's basically a 3rd line center and I'm not sure if teams would be willing to pay him that kinda money on top of what they'd have to give up for him

Fisher is a penalty killer. Brings explosiveness and grit and gets the puck out. I agree his 4 million dollar contract might be a little bit hefty, but the Sens don't have many grinders, let alone grinders who can put up 50/60 points.

I really don't think the Bruins will even think about Parise. It's not like they are a snakebitten team - although power play numbers would say they are. They're 7th in the league in GF and 1st in GA. I would think it would take a massive overpayment for them to get Parise, and with the current regime I don't think they would pull the trigger on a deal that costs them significant parts now and in the future for Parise. No knock on Parise, I love his play, but I just can't see it happening.

I need to follow hockey a little more. I was just telling Go Irish!!! the same thing yesterday.

Yeah and now with Fehr as the head of the NHLPA, it may be headed for bad times. Hockey would be stupid to have any sort of work stoppage again. They have just gotten the league built back up since the last stoppage. Another one would damage the game for a long, long time.

Also as much as the Flyers disgust me, I would never wish what happened to Crosby on anyone of those players. The guy got 2 concussions in 3 days. It's a game. That's not cool.

Beat me to it... For being "a huge vagina" he sure can lift that Stanley Cup better than anyone from Philly in the last 35 years...

It's okay though, Penner is just happy because he believes this actually gives his third rate club a chance for the division since they can't beat Pittsburgh with a healthy Crosby... unfortunately for him there is another 'huge vagina' named Malkin that they can't handle either...
