Ironman stated that he confirmed the offer on fcebook. I don't facebook recruits but do you have any evidence saying that he has not received an offer? Any link to a site that has contacted him?

I see nothing on twitter or facebook. That is all I got.

It has been stated/rumored that he canceled his Iowa visit because of the supposed ND offer. Info is spotty at this point.

Either way, I'm not convinced he will flip to ND. Had a good visit by all accounts to Stanford on the 14th. Lots of tweets about Stanford fans being awesome to him and I'm sure it was warm out there and he has a lot of time to bond with fellow recruits. If we had offered him pre-Stanford visit I would feel great.... as is I think it's a coin flip.

I'm not facebook friends with him either but you can access his page without being his friend. I couldn't find info on his fb page or twitter about the offer but Terry mentioned a source in the local media that he cancelled his Iowa visit because of the ND offer. When Terry speaks, I listen.

Yeah, and there was just another tweet from the same original tweeter @Remound saying congrats on the offer. So... either this guy is totally pulling our leg... or he definitely has a firm belief that Remound has an offer.

Reading the tea leaves on that tweet it reads to me like this:

He's getting a lot of pressure to go to ND, did not have an offer, is obviously frustrated. The 2.5 people thing is interesting.... I wonder which one of his 3 teammates only counts as a half lol.

When you tweet @ someone, like that guy did, they see it but it won't show up on their feed unless they choose to re-tweet it themselves. Whenever you see "RT" before a message that is a retweet. By the looks of it, Remound has basically gone dark and cancelled his visit to Iowa. My bet is that he is doing some thinking of some sort.

There's a twitter acct w the name of something like RightKindofGuy that tweeted 6 hrs ago that ND offered him. That's the earlier tweet that others are referring to. We're assuming that acct knows something and isn't just making it up for the fun of it.

^This. I thought that was clear. The same guy just tweeted again within the last couple minutes @Remound a congrats on his offer. Take it for what you will. There is also a members only post on 247 where Jason Sapp called to confirm the offer.. but I cannot see it.

In his shoes I'd be just as frustrated. From the sounds of it he all but begged for an offer we miss out on Huggins and Carlisle and he from what we've heard gets offered.
The only reason I can figure the offer now instead of earlier though was because Haynes went to OSU and opened up that scholarship for him.

Confirmed was a poor choice of words. I meant that one of the earlier posts suggested that it was on facebook... but in fact that has not been confirmed.

wouldn't it be logical that he just cancelled his trip because of the 13 Iowa players sent to the hospital by the strength and conditioning coach?

i know if i had an offer from Stanford (or Notre Dame), and this just happened at Iowa, i would definiely just cancel my trip.

My post was predicated on the premise that he had an offer. If he doesn't then there are plenty of other valid theories.

Apparently... the posts I could not read last night on B&G suggest that they did some digging and that there has not been an offer extended to Remound. If this is the case, I'm going to make a twitter account for the sole purpose of flaming that dbag. One rumor post... fine. Two posts, including one @remound, is just trolling or misinformation he did not verify. Gotta love social networking.... not.

For what it's worth, quiet period is today and dead period is tomorrow. If something tangible isn't in the works by the end of today then this is not happening.

I'm not to thrilled to have to be facing him for the next 4 years while at Stanford. He's as strong as an ox. I'm certainly disappointed that Remound did not receive an offer over Justice and Amir. After watching film of all three, Remound had just as much to offer as the other two. Oh well, we're going to need to land some studs next year.
