No one. Aaron is unique because we got to correspond with Alice and developed a rather personal attachment to him. Plus the circus with FSU fans, his HS coach, etc. I just don't see us obsessing over any recruit in that matter again.

Probably true, Alice was a good time.

I don't think we need anymore circuses in recruiting...
Lynch
Williams
Tuitt

TOO MUCH DRAMA to repeat every year
We got our studs, with dominating defense the recruits will come.

Here's to a relatively drama free 2012 recruiting cycle!
Cheers!

I disagree. Drama is what makes this site fun. If we had Texas style recruiting classes where our players verbal all on the same day, it would be boring.

yeah Williams really wasn't dramatic at all
quite a nice surprise actually! THANKS BOB

yeah...honestly we need drama or we'd all find something else to obsess with...or spend time with our women.

Maybe lets just steal recruits and not have to be losing them and stealing them back...
I dunno...

Without question it'll be Dorial Green-Beckham. The kid is a superfreak athlete with uber upside that we will drool over though there is next to no chance with him.

Most gifted HS WR in some time and that's saying something as there has been some studs in the last 5 or so years.

We have to wait to see who has a solid chance of coming to ND, while simultaneously having massive potential at his position, before we declare who will be the beneficiary of our obsession.

Unless Barry Sanders Sr. joins IE to discuss his son.

idk, i feel like the off season would be even MORE boring without the recruiting drama, i mean, the IE banner on the main menu has literally burned into my computer screen, but i still crave more! i say keep the drama comin!

I think it will be much easier to sell ND next season. While we did finish strong, we did pose a ton of questions throughout the year. If ND wins 10 + wins including a bowl the direction of ND will be clearer to the rest of the CFB world not just the die-hard and trade your first born for wins ND fans.

I think we will always have a little drama, per Coach Kelly's statement yesterday at the awards interview. Because we recruit nationally, the coaches are constantly going into other programs backyards, and THEY DON'T LIKE IT. By the looks of things a Brian Kelly staff is going to fight so I think drama is in store for all of us. SHould be fun!

On his thread, it has been noted that he is very good friends with Zeke Motta.

I just want him to show up practice hard and keep working hard all the time to become very good on the field the next couple years.

As long as you guys don't have heart attacks or stress-induced moving violations or broken electronic equipment, I say this stuff is a great ride and a hoot for a certain old man. Without someone like Mamma Lynch [and there is only one delightful original of her] there can never be another Aaron saga. But who knows what the universe, or the Leprechauns [remember, it's THEIR game] might pull??

When the going gets tough, I can only suggest the curative recommended by West Virginia's second-ranked philosopher: Catfish Man-of-the-Woods [ a not quite mainstream folk hero]. He says that almost anything can become more tolerable by eating two twinkies with a bottle of milk. I recommend this treatment for several of us during game broadcasts.

I could not agree more with you. I think our class this year is an amazing one in large part because of the way we ended up playing football towards the end of the season. I would imagine as we continue to create an atmosphere of winning we will not have too many problems getting the kinds of kids we want. Just about every recruit wants to be a part of something special and part of a winning program. Win and they will come.
