I think Lee committed to them back in the summer (according to Scout and Rivals) and is from NC.

The two commits from his school (Monroe, GA) are:
Bryan Chamberlain OL - committed in April, visit was a month ago (Dec)
Demontevious Smith ATH - offers from V Tech, Navy, Air Force, offered this past weekend while Tuitt was on campus and committed on the spot. Supposedly tight with Stephon...

I think his friend is Demontevious Smith, not Vad Lee

That's correct, but apparently Vad Lee also played a big role in Tuitt's switch to GT. He's been recruiting him pretty hard throughout this all. Now he's not 100% sold on GT..... Gotta love recruiting!!

Sounds good. Maybe the ISD meeting is the 2nd one you are referring to. Either way I am glad we are getting a chance.

That's probably right.
Just imagine, as a 17-18 year old, coming home from B-Ball practice and a long day at High school only to see your mom sitting in the living room with Brian Kelly, Bob Diaco, and Chuck Martin waiting to discuss your future and the most important decision of your life!

And Lynch & IShaq have not said anything about playing together since the AAA bowl and stepping on campus?

Not to mention GAIII, some chatter on facebook, and Hegarty got close with him too.

Talk about friends pulling in every direction...

What do you guys think is the best strategy for the visit with him? I sense that people are looking for ND's coaches to give him the hard sell and walk out of there with a re-commitment. But I think it might be better to slow play it. The kid probably doesn't want to go back and forth in a 2 day span. It just wouldn't look right. It probably wouldn't end there, either. I think the right play is to make your case, sow the seeds of doubt, raise the issues that you think work in your favor, then tell the kid you understand its hard and you want him to do what is best for him, you just hope he thinks it through. Tell him, "we don't expect you to decide tonight. This is a decision that will reverberate throughout the rest of your life. But come Feb. 2nd, we want you to make sure you've made that right decision." Then call him as much as you can without harassing him between now and then, and continue to make the case.

great news about Kelly & Co being there.. personally, I'd find it hard to turn down Notre Dame and the momentum they're building (especially on my side of the football) to join Georgia Tech and disappear into mediocrity.. his skills aren't mediocre, just the overall program.. I can understand if he wants to stay close to home, but I'd love to take on the challenge and try to be a part of a historic squad.. he's gotta choose between comfort and excellence and see which one he values more.. coming to Notre Dame would instantly alleviate his comfort issues because ND has such a great support system.. just my two cents.. let's hope this meeting happens and we get this kid back on board

Per ISD:

More from Tuitt:

I got a chance to talk to the head coach and my DL coach and my defensive coordinator.

I feel like I got some things off my chest. Some things about the college and some of the little things and big things.

They answered all my questions.

I finally have some closure.

I'm 100%.
