Great colors. The "University of Notre Dame" picture should be hung in a gallery.

And some people don't understand the lure of Notre Dame.
Another great reminder of why we love it so!
Great pic

Thanks for all the compliments. Ive taken over 6000 pictures at Notre Dame and these pictures are my favorites. The first touchdown jesus is actually 13 pictures in 1. 3 hours to wait for the wind to stop stirring the water. the image size is actually 104" tall x 77" wide.

JM, what are you shooting with? I'm looking at D2X's right now, trying to find one with a low shutter count. I do some amateur military aviation photography, I go on an air show circuit every year. Virginia, Nevada, Arizona, and up and down California.

Great pics. Thanks! However, when I saw the thread I thought it would be pix of Ishaq and Aaron in the snow.

They really are amazing though. I still love the campus in the winter as well and some snowy pics would be great.

Thanks again.

Perhaps showing this thread to my wife will convince her that it's worth upgrading my equipment. My 350D with 35-135mm IS combo lacks far too often in my regular shooting environment with a 70-200mm 4L for longer range stuff. As more of an amateur enthusiast, I'm eyeing the 550D and the 24-70mm 2.8L for a better walk-around combo.

Thank you so much for sharing, some really incredible shots. I took some similar shots on my last visit and it is amazing what some top notch equipment and a great eye can do. In case you were wondering, I am not the one with the equipment or eye. Thanks again.

Good equipment helps. But understanding everything you can about the camera helps the most. to be honest ive been doing this since i was 16 so going on 11 years and i learn something new everyday. Really learn and understand your custom functions and make the best of what you have. the 70-200 F4 lens is a GREAT lens. the TD jesus was used on my 70-200 2.8. I had the Aperature stepped up to F/11 which is sharpest to my eye. going to F22 is just way too much detail for landscape. But it is Each to its own.

Seriously nice work. Thanks for the new desktop!

HA! I did the same thing. Background on my laptop and phone. When I get home, and back to work, they will be on my desktop as well. I plan on changing to a different photo each week.
