How awesome was his father's response? "Are you not entertained?" Anybody else picture Russell Crowe in Gladiator standing in the ring after demolishing human life? How awesome?

Unfortunately it looks like Ishaq is PSU bound judging by his latest post and other information. O well, I wish the kid all the best in the world.

On a side note:

How important is Aaron Lynch's decision to take a look at ND again? We were so convinced that Ishaq was Irish a week ago and now he very well may not be but Lynch is there to fill the void (Yes I know they are different positions).

We NEED Lynch... Considering Ishaq might be on his way to PSU as we speak, we're not in the driver's seat for Huggins, and Amir is now visiting USC on his decision day, not to mention Tuitt still has an OV, this recruiting year could be a big swing and a miss.
At least we have our most important commitment back, Michael Floyd!

don't you have to be there for classes to start to attend the college? Because PSU classes started on monday.

No, apparently it's not uncommon for EE's to miss the first week of school. At least that's what one PSU writer said. I really hope we don't strike out as this recruiting nears the end.

It would seem plauisble that Ishaq is on his way to PSU since the questions of Bradley leaving for the UCONN job have been dispelled by UCONN hiring a coach.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but did you mean it'd be plausible that he's on his way to PSU? I thought if Bradley and Johnson Sr. stayed he was likely going to Psu...

It'd be really cool if it turned out that Tuitt, Lynch, and Ishaq all agreed at the AAA game to come to ND and be the 'big 3' on defense (I hate the miami heat, but I thought the reference was appropriate). And they just wanted to keep it quite until all could announce at once.

Wishful thinking, but boy that'd be the best news I've ever heard.

They pulled offers from some of their targets because they do not have room. The mystery is that they should have 2 spots left. Read into that what you want.

Unless they're using the SEC scholarship allotment, or USC derivation...

I think that it is funny that Ishaq's dad effective let Syracuse eliminate themselves (at least publicly through their fans), even though they were probably out a long time ago. Great way to save face with the locals.

Shaun Williams said the decision would be based on the school’s quality of education, the strength of its alumni network and the stability of the coaching situation

This is crazy stuff. There is really only one school that matches this description.

New Facebook post: "My last day in brooklyn.. awww".

Supposedly no press conference or formal announcement coming. Will show up to the school of his choice on sunday and pops will call the recruiting services

Either they are really tipping their hand, or LJ convinced Ishaq to visit Happy Valley before ultimately deciding on ND and driving up to South Bend.

I know.... that is what's so disappointing. I don't want to say people were telling us what we wanted to hear, but I think the biggest factor is going to end up being that Ishaq wants to play DE and he feels PSU is going to give him the best chance to excel there.

Kinda seems like he's going to Penn State. Just seems like everything is pointing in their direction. I don't know this could be an interesting weekend for sure. We could whiff on all 3 big ones announcing this weekend. That would be bad.

"his father, Shaun Williams; mother; Anastasia Lewis; Lincoln coach Shawn O’Connor; and a few close family friends – reevaluated his thinking. Shaun Williams said the decision would be based on the school’s quality of education, the strength of its alumni network and the stability of the coaching situation. "

I'm going to repeat the sentiments of a previous poster.

How is that anyone but us?

I feel like his parents want him to choose the ND education but I am afraid that his relationship with LJ and Bradley might be too much to over come.

He's still gonna end up at State...

They have a really nice academics at PSU, not ND. But good.

The networking is ND all the way. No one has alumni like ND.
