Now to develop a QB without paralysis by analysis, with adequate arm strength to hit Mike long, and the vision to find the other talented receivers on the field. Spring Ball is gonna be exciting.

Not only is this great for the team and QB next year, but it should really help GAIII and DaVaris to learn under one of the best receivers in Notre Dame history. I love this choice. Nothing wrong with leaving early like what Clausen, Tate, and Rudy did, but I do love to see a Domer come back to hopefully play in a big time bowl game!

I am, needless to say, happy that he is coming back, too. But, I really even got more satisfaction out of his statement. Of course, he is acting with some self interest--we all do in almost everyone of our acts, even charitible ones. But, it is clear that he also cares about some things outside of himself, like trying to help bring ND back to greatness. He is also confident, as he should be (I want to show everyone I'm the best wide receiver in the country) but also humble enough to acknowledge there is room for improvement and give the coaching staff the nod as his teachers.

Absolutely refreshing, and a welcome contrast to some of the statements we have heard lately that seem to be about nothing more than "me, me, me, me."

Michael's an ND man.

Well played Sir! That's what I'm talking about--Jimmy is coming back for his too. I feel like we just received a commit from the best WR in the country for one year. On a selfish note, I hope he comes to the Browns next year to join the stud WR we will surely draft this year (Jones? I think Green will be gone by 6th) or perhaps Rudolf. Hey, I can dream, can't I?

Agreed. His decision to forego the NFL to finish his commitment to ND, himself and his family thrills me as much as the thought of his value to the Irish offense next year.

His return to the team brings a sigh of relief, but his return to the Notre Dame community brings a big-*** smile. May you stay healthy, Mr. Floyd, and your decision pay dividends the rest of your life.

It is sooo awesome hes coming back! I really thought he would 4 weeks ago. Hes got amazing character and everything about him is pure ND class. Love the guy! An all time fave ND player.
