Ishaq to decide by this weekend according to Zach Braziller of the NY Post.

Lincoln football coach Shawn O'Connor tells me he expects All-American Ishaq Williams to pick among Notre Dame, Penn State and Syracuse by the weekend./QUOTE]

So the likely scenario is that since it doesn't look like UConn is hiring Bradley he is going to PSU. The outside shot is that he really enjoyed playing with Lynch and Tuitt and if they're both going to ND he will sign on board this weekend.

Another example of what a great kid this is, and how well he has gone about his recruiting process. Refreshing to see. I will root for him no matter where he goes.

Rumor is that his father spoke with PSU coaches and they assured him that they would remain at PSU for seasons to come. Apparently Ishaq was concerned with the questions surrounding the current staff remaining in Happy Valley and that's where the delay came in. So just about all signs point to Ishaq heading to PSU.

Rumor so take it for what it's worth....

Well, the odd part about that would be that it could seemingly apply to Johnson.... but Bradley has already gone after two HC jobs so it's obvious that he doesn't see himself there forever if a better gig comes up. But again, if Johnson is the one that matters, then that makes all the sense in the world and this scenario is basically what we've all been hypothesizing.

I'm just glad we won't ever have to play against him if he goes to PSU. Who knows if he will turn into an average player, All-American or bust... but with his character my money is on him being a stud.

Oh geez. No offense, but not again. Read the last 5-6 pages and you'll find your answer. Look for N.D.inLA and BGIF posts. I believe others have also touched on this.

(I know. The connection time is ssss----lllll----ooooo----wwww, but it's there.)

I know they don't play the same positions, I would love to have them both. I was just asking his opinion. He said he thinks Ishaq is waiting to see what Lynch did. I was wondering if he thought that Ishaq wanted to play with Lynch or not. My bad for not clarifying.

I-Team: Priorities for Ishaq Williams’ Dad Are Way Off : Orange Fizz – Free Syracuse Recruiting News, Sports Rumors, Podcasts

See this page for a certain opinion regarding his future.

See here for Ishaq's dad's response:

i am ishaq’s father and i don’t frankly care how you feel about the fact that i attended your alma mater. you have obviously been studying my statements and actions (with the hats) and now you say my priorities are mixed up? it’s seems you are deluded, but i am not. you make money off of carrying this type of news, i don’t. i am looking for the best situation for my son. if he injures himself and can no longer play football, neither you nor any of your readers will care about him or what hat i am wearing. we said all schools were equal and we meant it. i guess if you don’t like my statements, that is your choice. you should at least thank me for giving you something to write about. in the end it is all entertainment. i’m not hard to reach. and yes, the possibility of my son becoming a household name across america is appealing to me. how dare you question my priorties? are you not entertained. my son is in the position that he is in because of guidance, not a wicked 40 time!

btw, from the very beginning our actions were framed around attempting to help the ‘cuse in more ways than one. that’s all i will say on that. you can ask the people that matter (the coaching staff) about that. every conversation that i have had with the distinguished head coach of the football team was how (despite what ishaq’s choice is) we as a family could help the program. there is a bigger picture here than just your little world of orange and blue. i guess every good deed does get punished. give me a freaking break. you might be able to see the bigger picture, but it doesn’t matter at all to you. btw, didn’t you guys ask us about an interview a few weeks ago? i hope that’s not why we are getting castigated.

BOOM! Glad to see him defend himself so well. The best part about that is, I don't think it will sway his decision at all. I have nothing but respect for the Williams family, and as others have said I will respect and root for the kid and his family wherever they end up. I just hope we don't have to wait til NSD to find out. He might even be the kid I want the most right now just for that sort of class.

It's hilarious that fellow Syracuse fans are ripping the writer AND the website for it's stupidity....

Do you think if Lynch comes then Ishaq comes or if Lynch comes Ishaq wont or what?

I think that Ishaq is making sure he is 150% sure on his choice for the next 4-5 years. I also think that Ishaq saw how he dominated with Lynch and Tuitt at the Ary AA game. If ND lands Lynch I think that would help our recruitment with Ishaq.

I'm not sure how PSU fits with what his father said. I guess we'll have to wait and see what he does. Nobody knows for sure...

I just really want Ishaq and his family as part of the Irish Nation. I like what they stand for, especially after all the tragedy they have been through. They have come out as a nice tight knit family, and what not. If he goes to the SU or PSU I hope they are happy. But, I want him here.

I feel the same way about Tuitt. He seems to be a kid that would be perfect here.

I know people have issues with how Aaron has bounced back and forth. The kid is young and being pulled from so many areas. And his mom is just trying to make sure that the best situation is presented to her son. And who knows how much she is being told by other programs, good and bad.

How many people here have been through the recruiting process as an athlete or a parent? I only have in two other sports, not football and even in that I heard about all the negatives about the other schools I was looking at. I can't imagine what is happening to these guys.

I hope they choose the Irish Nation, I will not bad mouth them either way. But, I sure hope they choose us though.

Go Irish!!!

How can it be his last day in Brooklyn if he is picking anyone except for PSU? Syracuse and ND don't start classes until Tuesday, whereas PSU has already started.

Not hopeful here.

Maybe he is going to visit someone in the Bronx before he makes the trip to South Bend. Lol, I have to agree with you on this one Canadian, but stranger things have happen this recruiting season.

yeah we shouldn't be holding our breath unless he is pulling a super psyche out or we are totally misreading the situation.

Have any of you considered, especially with his affinity towards Lynch after the UA game, that he is meeting up with Lynch tomorrow at ND. Getting settled in over the weekend in order to start classes Tuesday.

Ask yourself, when you went off to college, did you show up the day classes started or did you show up a couple days before to get your affairs in order (ie unpack, buy books, etc)?

I dont think him being on his respective campus tomorrow implicates any of the schools in particular, imo.

Yeah I have been thinking that exact thing especially about Lynch. Logically speaking if he comes Friday and he is going to commit it wouldn't make a lot of sense for him to leave. Spend some time getting things and getting comfortable.

Maybe even Momma Lynch told him to pack extra shorts just encase. I would personally think if he came and left that might not be a good sign. But this thing has been very wild.

Dorms don't open until Sunday... unless there are different rules for kids moving in for the first time? Either way, that's a possible answer but I'm not holding my breath.

I never hold my breath on any recruit, but I really dont think that our chances are that dim. If he comes with Lynch, and they both decide that they want to start classes on Tuesday, the University isnt going to point them to the closest Holiday Inn just because the rest of the student body doesnt come until Sunday. I would be shocked if this was overlooked by the coaching staff.

We know that Lynch will be there for certian tomorrow, and he certianly isnt flying back to Florida to gather his things, just to fly back on Sunday. I am guessing that would be considered one of those snags that Kelly promised wouldnt arise. Whatever they have planned for Lynch will certianly be available to Ishaq.
