See what I don't get is why he would consider other schools when we are the ones who recruited him throughout. It seems like he has some apprehension about ND..

I know schools try to use weather either way but I have to think any serious player with NFL aspirations and talent knows that you have to ignore the weather.

Well we just spanked miami in a bowl game. Their recruiting class isn't looking so hot right now.

Florida has always been a huge thorn in ND's side. Let's see what happens.

He has continued to state thru all this that he will still be an EE. Its in almost every report including the most recent. I think he's ours to loose. The only way he leaves the state of Florida is for ND. I think Fla and the U are back ups incase he doesn't like what happens Friday. Plus Miami joins our schedule soon. He's not gonna want to get beat by ND.

If he was concerned about playing time at FSU, how could he consider Florida? The situation there is just as bad if not worse.

As for Miami, they have a new coach and we just beat them senseless. And his 'sibling' chose us over them just about a year ago. Get him on campus and then lock him in a classroom until Monday morning when the class starts.

They could just lock him in my dorm room instead. That way he has TV, a bed, food and water... or maybe just mountain dew... and then I can let him out when I get back on monday! (classes don't start til tuesday)

ND has to be #1 and I am sure the reason for the visit is to make sure he qualifies and can be admitted. He has to have back-up plans in case it all falls through.

Does ND offer if they can't get admitted? I thought that they offered only after being cleared... I asked this earlier but never got clarification on it.

Someone (I think it was an FSU board) speculated that he supposedly was cleared for EE at ND if he maintained his current load at high school. They thought he had dropped one of those classes after he switched to FSU which could preclude an EE to ND now. Who knows if any of that is based on fact.

Someone from Tomahawk Nation having a little bit of a meltdown:

Also, Notre Dame’s recruiters told bold faced lies about FSU, AL’s HS coaches, and Jimbo Fisher. Last I knew their God didn’t like lying, but well he doesn’t like murder either and that didn’t stop their coach from killing a child.

In fairness, most of the comments have been pretty reasonable and understanding.

UPDATE: The above quote was removed from their board with a warning to others about bashing Aaron or his mom. I'll give reps to board administrator for good management.

Calling out IE? The heresy!

NFL players better care if they graduate from college, with a proper degree. 60% of people who retire from the NFL are bankrupt within two years.

I actually saw them bring over posts from Jonesman and Mcgriff. The funny part is they didn't say anything outragous. I can understand there frustrations though.

Wow... that's pretty much all I can say to that. It still stuns me how we are the only school in the nation that believes in God. There are no Christians in the rest of division I college football... sad.

Regardless of where Lynch goes, does anyone else really REALLY wish FSU was on the schedule next year?

This is not true. I am too lazy to give many examples, but Boston College is a catholic university just like Notre Dame.

An FSU fan on Rivals claims Lynch delivered an ultimatum to FSU: No more DE recruits and guaranteed early playing time.

Off topic, but I agree, people seem to only mention God when they need something....

As for Alice and Aaron, they are good people, making the biggest decision of their lives.

It was sarcasm.. I just meant that we are the only school that people ever seem to play the God card at. I realize it is because we are one of the only two catholic schools, but please, it's not like we're the only Christians in the world.

I heard on rivals freebie board Weis is the lead recruiter for Lynch so this should be interesting.

Agreed... I don't think we should ever get so caught up in recruiting (or on the field play, or anything of the sort) that we start to take personal shots at people. That's just not right.

I thought that might be the case... I would love to hear that sales pitch, as well as any anti ND sentiment that might possibly be included. (I'm not saying he will, just saying it's a possibility)
