Doesnt he have to be enrolled at FSU by Wednesday?

yeah, so if he's visiting friday, that means he won't be enrolling early at FSU, which is a very good sign for us. We have a better chance if he visits. However, don't hold your breath. He could easily sign w/ FSU in Feb and enroll in the summer.

The article says he plans on enroling wherever he decides for the spring semester. But I believe you are correct that he would have to be in class by Wed at FSU beeing that their classes started last Tue and ours don't start until the 18th.

FRIDAY?! jeez...drag this out till '12 why don't you! :p lol This is gonna be a tuff week man, my gosh.
But heck, thats AWESOME!
Except i just don't really get it. Why officially decommit from one school and schedule a visit to the other when your only going between two schools? Or is there another school that I don't know about?

I understand where you are coming from. I am sure being a mod is tough cause the lines aren't exactly black and white. It was probably the right move in deleting them, they should have been elsewhere. We are thankful for all you guys do here. Just remember this the next time you want to ban me. lol

^^ +1

My guess he could be visiting to iron out his academic concerns

Maybe he's already committed. And is simply enrolling early at ND.

Edit: I take that back. Orientation is on Monday the 17th. Sunday the 16th undergrad dorms are open for moving back in.

Notre Dame football recruiting: Lynch decommits from FSU, will visit ND this weekend
By BOB WIENEKE
Tribune Staff Writer

The on-again, off-again recruitment of coveted defensive end Aaron Lynch appears to be on for Notre Dame, off for Florida State.

Asked Sunday afternoon in a text message if he had decommitted from FSU and if he would visit ND this weekend, Lynch responded "Yes and yes."

The 6-foot-6, 245-pound Lynch committed to Notre Dame in July, decommitted in October, committed to Florida State in November and then waffled last week while at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Lynch met with coaches from both schools Saturday night in San Antonio following the all-star game.

Lynch, who played at Island Coast High School in Cape Coral, Fla., will enroll in college for the spring semester at whichever school he picks. Florida State began classes last Tuesday, Notre Dame doesn't begin until Jan. 18

Sounds like a one way ticket is in order.

WHOA WHOA WHOA.... whoa...

I leave for a 4 day fishing trip where I had no access to media.... and I come back to all of these:

- The thread I wrote about Aaron is upended by a new, and may I say improved, official offer page with 49 pages of lovely reading. I can't believe that we are in position to get Lynch back. Landing Tuitt, Nix, Lynch, and Ishaq will give Notre Dame an elite defense very soon. I hope it happens.

- Harbaugh goes to San Fran. This is wonderful because he is at neither Standford nor Michigan.

- Seattle beat the Saints, wtf?

I either am in the twilight zone, someone messed with my stash or my positive karma towards others is finally coming to fruition. I like to think its the karma...

I must say that I (with many other) owe you an apology for saying that your thread was pointless. It was damn near prophetic.

No worries, mate. I have to say, I really didn't think that Aaron showing up with that shirt really meant anything.

I just thought that it was intriguing. His mother loves ND, his Grandfather rests on campus, his best friend would play next to him and he still decommitted. I never really got it.

I really think that there is merit to the possibility that when he was out the UA game dominating with two guys that he enjoyed playing with, it struck him, that he could play with both of these guys for the rest of his college career (which also gives me some positive vibes that conversations with Ishaq were in our favor). He has always been a fan of Notre Dame, but not until now, has he started falling in love with it. I hope he follows his heart.

FSU boards are still ranting that he isn't qualified for EE at ND, and actually isn't qualified for admission at all.

Can anyone confirm with a solid source that he's qualified for EE at ND?

I can't, but I assume he is because why would the ND staff push for him to EE otherwise?

They were also claiming he had to be put in front of a review panel at FSU just to get accepter their too. Hell they just got a 4* WR commit today I believe. Was reading up on him and what I found funny was he is turning 20 soon and just getting ready to graduate HS. Really 20?

I got held back in kindergarten for a speech impediment. Maybe Benjamin had a severe speech impediment, or was put in school later than usual?

At this point, the staff wouldn't be wasting any time on a person if he wasn't qualified. It just doesn't make any sense.
