I really hope your right, are him and alford really that close?

He and Alford are VERY close. He consistently mentions that Alford has been a father figure to him throughout the process, not simply a recruiter or coach. That was why there was such a problem with him simply texting Alford when he first decommitted. He said he couldn't let down Alford like that so took the easy way out (texting him), which he later said he regretted.

They are not all there for Lynch. They will also visit Ishaq and talk to Tuitt, Atkisnon, Hegarty and any other target there

Those guys are important, but they are after-thoughts tonight my friend. Lynch is the big kahuna and both staffs know this might be the last time they get to see him and Alice face to face.

Imagine throwing a couple FSU coaches and ND coaches in an elevator together. HA. I'd pay to hear those conversations.

This is a pessimistic view but maybe he just opened it up so he could part ways with ND and Alford the right way this time. face to face.

I'll also be glad when this is over and I'm sure he feels the same way but he probably should take a day or two... or a week to think about it and make sure he makes the right decision.

I agree that Lynch is the guy they really want to sway tonight, but, if those "other" guys think they arent as important as all the love Lynch is getting, then they could easily feel slighted, almost exactly how this whole deal with Lynch even started.

THey need to try and steal Lynch back, but they also need to make sure all of the others are solid in their commitments!

Having a guy fly to see you to only tell him no is far from the right thing

I'm too nervous. I'm gonna go out, drink beer, and then check IE. I'm glad there isn't a IE app now, or I'd check every minute.

Pretty sure ND coaches would be at this game no matter what with all the recruits centralized in one place. All Lynch did was schedule a meeting with coaches who are already there.

Is this great or what?! We don't have any chips in this game, only theirs to lose.

Read a message on their ESPN boad that said if they lose him, no biggie, they have a lot of other d-line talent. (I'm paraphrasing)

Quickly? He won’t change his commitment quickly. How much time does it take? Lynch has already decommitted from FSU.

Does anybody really know the difference for an end in a 4-3 versus a 3-4? Because no one has been able to describe it on this thread.

I have one inside source (at ND) who says it has been in the plans for a fourth commit to start on the 18th with the other three. The player’s name has been a closely guarded secret. Is it Ishaq? Is it Aaron? Is it someone else? Apparently, all the source knows is it is not a player that has previously announced his commitment. The atmosphere darkens as the tension and intrigue thicken . . .

If Mama Lynch is in these "meetings" with both staffs, I think he could go Irish. If it's Aaron with staffs, he's probably FSU

As an FSU poster put it on tomahawk nation...

"Why go to the Golden Dome when you can come to FSU and get golden dome"?

You still see my point. Plus they've supposedly met since so I doubt your theory

List of Defensive formations[edit] 4-3 defenseMain article: 4-3 defense

Basic 4-3This base defense consists of four defensive linemen, three linebackers, and four defensive backs (two safeties, two corners). Against two-receiver offensive sets, this formation is effective against the run and the pass. In the 4-3, the linemen tend to line up in the gaps between the offensive line. On passing downs, the Mike (middle linebacker) is often responsible to cover any running backs, the Sam (strong-side linebacker) covers the Tight End, and the Will (weak-side linebacker) either covers a back or "blitzes" in an attempt to "sack" the quarterback. This formation was invented by former Dallas Cowboys Head Coach Tom Landry while he was the defensive coordinator of the New York Giants.

4-3 over (linebackers shifted to strong-side)
4-3 under (linebackers shifted to weak-side)

[edit] 6-1 defenseThe 6-1 defense basically has the personnel of the 4-3 defense, but instead of the outside linebackers playing behind the defensive line, they line up alongside of the defensive line. The middle linebacker is the only one directly behind the line.

[edit] 3-4 defenseMain article: 3–4 defense

Basic 3-4This is the base defense of some teams. It consists of three defensive linemen, four linebackers, and four defensive backs (two safeties, two corners). The advantage is that while 4 players still usually rush the line, the quarterback can be less sure of which of the 4 linebackers will join the 3 linemen. This formation sacrifices some size (of linemen) for speed (of linebackers), but coaches choosing to utilize this formation as their base defense typically choose larger players in the front 7 to make up for the shortage of size. In this formation, the single tackle usually lines up directly over the "nose" of the ball, and is often called the "nose tackle". In this formation, the linemen often line up directly in front of the offensive line, while the linebackers "shoot the gaps".

It's not good because decision tonight means enrolling early at FSU on Monday. Delaying, taking an OV to South Bend next week means he would not enroll early at FSU but could enroll early at ND because classes there start 1/18
