If Harbaugh stays at Stanford, then I think we lose our chance with Amir. I am not convinced though that Harbaugh will stay at Stanford. There are several possible suitors that would love Harbaugh to come to them (NFL) and I honestly think that Harbaugh has done about as much as he can at Stanford (well exception of a Championship) to build up that program. The thing that boggles my mind is that despite how far the Stanford program has come, they still struggle to fill the stands. Even when we have crappy seasons, we still sell out our stadium, and Stanford is BCS bound and they have difficulties filling their seats.

We are going to have a good season next year either 9-3 or 8-4. But stanford is probably going to have a repeat of this year. Possibly better and National Cahampionship with harbough and luck back. I think winning is what he wants to do and they will be better then us next year.

Was Amir really wavering at first because of the talks of Harbaugh possibly leaving or was it before all that happened?

Here's why I'm not so sure about this. If Harbaugh isn't gone this year, he will be gone next year when Luck leaves. I think everyone can basically see that. Do you want to sign up for a school not knowing who the coach will be while you're there?

Amir committed to Stanford a year and a half ago before he received any other offers.

He has been looking around since this summer.

Him initially considering other options has nothing to do with Harbaugh leaving. However, if Harbaugh does leave, that only strengthens the possibility.

I was thinking the same thing. If I was a Stanford commit, I would've felt a lot better if Harbaugh would've said he is coming back before Luck made that announcement. Now I would definitely have some doubts that Harbaugh will return for one more year and a chance at a National Championship and then leave with Luck to the NFL

Even if Harbough stays at Stanford this year the recruits know that he is good as gone next year. I hope that they would factor this in as they make a choice.

Harbaugh's in a great situation. He knows if he decides to stay he can always get into the NFL later even if he's not as hot. If he does decide not to go to the NFL it won't be because of the money, more likely he just didn't like any of the fits...with that said if he does stay I can see Amir and other guys on the board signing with him and he finishes this recruiting year off strongly.

From what I have read. He won't home after his visit. Marinated on it and has already decided where he wants to go. Harbaugh staying could change that but if he decided ND than I wouldn't worry too much

IMO I think Harbaugh's situation is almost exactly like Luck's....their stock is at the absolute highest it will every be...the only direction is down. I think Harbaugh's makes the joump now...

ESPN Radio stated that Harbaugh is down to either staying at Stanford (hahahah scUM fans) OR moving on to NFL and coach the 49ers.

ISD talked to his father tonight, and there are some veryyyyy encouraging quotes from his father. From this conversation alone, it would be pretty shocking if ND isn't his choice on the 15th.

Premium info or can you elaborate?

The article makes it sound as if this kid is an ND lock. His father says that Amir likes ND and Harbaugh's decision has no bearing on that. This kid is Irish.

Decision is next Saturday my man, the 15th. Kelly is getting the last sales pitch when he visits him on Friday the 14th.

Good looking out. All it said was that he will make his decision saturday but I now see where it says that BK will be visiting next friday.

Ironman8 love the Amare photo by the way. But can you kind of sum up the article a little bit?

Davaris Daniels also said he believes Amir will be Irish in the end. I don't know if that means anything but it's looking good.

MVP. Basically Amir's dad just says Harbaugh leaving doesn't impact his decision (red flag for Stanford), and then he proceeds to gush about ND. States they have everything Amir wants "spiritually, academically, and athletically". He also says that Kelly visiting the day before his announcement is "how we planned it". The article basically makes it seem like Amir is an ND lock on the 15th barring the insane and unforseen (which after today we can never count out in recruiting).
