He's going to OSU friday night and that could be it. I'm not sure if he will take anymore visits. I will be meeting him for his OSU visit. If he doesn't want to be Irish, I want him to be a buckeye.

I'm not ruling it out. hahaha I work at the Student Union Friday evening. If there's a modicum of a chance they stroll through there, he is about to witness the biggest Ohio State embarrassment of all time.

He's been on campus many times when the campus was full and lively. He is now going to get all his questions answered and to get a feel of the staff and campus without all the raucous crowd on campus. It's nice to see campus when it's out of football season.

So I am on my shift here at Ohio State's Ohio Union, and the recruiting dinner with Doran Grant is in the Traditions room right now, from 6-8. Shall I pull the fire alarm and ruin this dinner? Hahah

In actuality, the fire alarm did go off accidentally yesterday evening. Maybe lightning would just strike twice. Or how about a "Hey Doran, Ohio State players share their herpes cream here, it's that much of a family atmosphere!" Or maybe just pour some olive juice into the iced tea so it tastes horrible.

On a serious note, it is pretty neat to see how Ohio State pulls out all of the stops for the recruits. They must have six of our eight chefs in the room for a 32-person event!

Doran Grant isn't there yet. He won't be there until later. ls the food in the Union expensive?

haha My fault, I assumed he was with all of the other recruits. I was looking for a St. Vincent-St. Mary varsity jacket but only one kid wore his. I was hoping I'd see him walking through the atrium and I'd shout "GO IRISH!" at him.

Whether it's expensive or not is debatable. I'm a student at the school and work for the catering department, we overcharge the hell out of people (since most of the costumers are other Ohio State departments, it's moot). The two restaurants and bars are very reasonable though.

Actually he didn't look too bad last night. He chose the best school for him and his family. It's hard for CB's to look great in an allstar game with the limited rules. He will be great at OSU. Good luck Doran!!!

He didn't look that good. Im sorry Sweetness because I know you have a connection but he didnt play that well. With his defensive line putting pressure on the qbs the way they were, he should have played a lot better. However, Ohio State has turned out some very good cornerbacks and Doran will be fine. He will improve his technique and Ohio State is a very good school. Congrats to the kid and good luck.
