I'm making my famous *** Burn Chili and bacon wrapped chicken that you dip in brown sugar and chili powder then broil (They are amazing). Not sure what I'm going to be drinking yet thats a day time decision, but I do have some Jose Cuervo that I need to finish off, so ignore any posts of mine after 10pm.

Yeah no problem. The only thing is I don't measure it out.

All you do is mix brown sugar and chili powder together in a bowl. Cut the chicken into about 1 inch cubes, then cut the bacon into rectangles long enough to be wrapped around the chicken. Then wrap the chicken with the bacon. Use a toothpick to keep the bacon and chicken together. Then just put the chicken in the bowl of brown sugar and chili powder and mix them so they are well covered. Then just broil them until the bacon is cooked and the chicken is brown. The bacon grease will turn the brown sugar and chili powder into a sauce.

If you have any questions just PM me.

I can't decide what is the worst tasting beer ever: Hamm's or beast.

I can't, with anything approaching a straight face, claim that Hamm's is a good beer. It IS cheap, though, and a bit of a sentimental journey for me. It was what the vendors were selling in the bleachers when I caught a Twins game in 1975 during my first visit to the Twin Cities.

Four years later I moved here from Miami. What a long, strange trip it's been.

dshans - you ROCK my hippie brother! Hamms and burgundy! Awesome! I used to love the Hamms commercials with the animated bear when I was young.

For me, tomorrow is my Mom and Dad's 50th wedding anniversary. So we will be watching the game and eating the best Chinese food in the world (my parent's favorite place). My parents don't drink, but I will have the Guinness flowing, no doubt. I also have a bottle of Glennrothes 1985 Single Malt that I only save for special occasions that I will surely have at least one shot of for the bowl game (most surely more than one, though).

Won't be able to break out the good herb until later in the evening. After spending the afternoon with my parents, the wife and I are heading up to out mountain getaway to enjoy some snow (don't worry my wife is my DD). Probably ring in the New Year looking up at the stars and blazing a bit.

I love I.E. and I have been blessed with new friendships and a lot of good times because of it. 2010 was a strange and wild year. I look foward to 2011 with you all! Please be safe this weekend. Be good to each other and, most importantly, GO IRISH! BEAT MIAMI!!!

Well my man, sounds like a great day and night!!!

As for me, I was supposed to watch the game with my ND buddies, but instead of flying back to LA from South Bend this morning, we got a call last night from Southwest saying our flight had been canceled. And the next available flight is Monday!!!!

Now, don't get me wrong, I love it out here...it was just a shock to be completely packed and ready to go home again (we've been gone 11 days) only to be told that our flight was cancelled and there was NOTHING available until 5 days later. And my wife and I have to miss a day of work to boot.

Anyhoo, now I have to find a place to watch the game with some ND fans tomorrow. Lots of places here in South Bend, just want to pick the right one.

And guys, I finally got to have drinks with GoIrish and his lovely wife last month, and they are GREAT people. A fine representation of the ND fanbase and IrishEnvy in particular.

Enjoy your weekend my man!

Cheers to you my friend. My wife and I had a blast with you as well. For all those who have never met him in person, NDinL.A. is as cool (if not even cooler) in person than he is online. Some crazy lady came up and was yelling at us because he was in full ND gear and she, from what I can gather, was somehow an SC fan. Mostly gibberish, but it was funny.

Like I said, for all its quirks and weirdness, this site has brought me in to a circle of some really cool and amazing people that I would have otherwise never crossed paths with. I don't really go on any other blogs except this one for that very reason. Hands down this place has the coolest group anywhere. You will never find "a more wretched hive of scum and villany."

I will be ringing in the new year at Northside hospital here in Atlanta. Crushing some cafeteria food. But its all good, wife gave birth to a beautiful baby girl 12/28. She watched ND hoops with me last night with her little ND hat on. Big win too, maybe she can help me root for another big win!!!

... we will be watching the game and eating the best Chinese food in the world!

Funny you should mention Chinese food. Leftovers from Christmas Day take-out will be what I eat tomorrow. Not the greatest, but typically plentiful. Your post inspired me to move the C22 remnants (Hot & Spicy Beef with Pork Fried Rice & an Egg Roll) from the freezer to refrigerator to thaw to eat during the game.

Glad I inspired you. You inspired me to pick up a sixer of Hamms!

There is little else in the world into which I put more thought than food and drink. Thus, my rather rotund physique. Still can't decide about tomorrow, though. Might forego the food entirely, although that low-country boil sho' do sound good (Georgia Domer, ever been to the Crab Shack on Tybee--"where the elite eat in their bare feet"?).

Got to get up early and go to Sam's to pick up stuff for tomorrow night's gathering at the house. Right now, thinking that getting back in time for a giant-sized Absolut Peppar bloody mary to start the day (pre-game party) might be good. Then, although I am typically a scotch man, I might break open the unopened bottle of RedBreast Irish (which, although I am not a big fan of Irish Whiskey, comes recommended to me as the very best of that genre) that I have down on my bar in "Nanker'sWorld" where I'll be watching the game. If I finish that, food might be optional. However, I guess all this could change depending on who all shows up, and what condition my condition is in tomorrow. Whatever, it is going to ONE GREAT DAY! GO IRISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Gonna be hard to sleep tonight.

Getting ready to head to the store in a little bit so I will have everything ready for the game, then some things for tonight. Have my college son and some of his buddies coming over to spend the night tonight, so I'll be buying half the store just to keep these guys fed. Game menu will be chips/salsa, brats, chix wings and shrimp ****tail. Tonight will consist of several pizzas, more beer and lots of booze. lol.

Venison chili. My brother always supplies the meat and we cook it up in a big ol' pot and it's delicious.

Velveeta rotel dip. Cook some sausage and dump it in. The closest thing I've found to edible happiness.
