Tony Alford visited his school Tuesday with an ND offer giving him 2 dozen so far. Scout has Story, 6-3, 190, 4.4, a 3 Star, #45 ranked WR but that's going to change. He's ony had 13 catches but had a sizzling 32.5 ypc. He's been working his way around Florida on visits this Spring and will take his touring out of state this summer.

Story trims his favorites to 14

Four-star WR Ja'Juan Story cuts list from 28 to 14 - ESPN

6/15
By Jamie Newberg, ESPN Recruiting

Under Armour All-American Ja'Juan Story, who is the 4th-ranked wide receiver in the country, cut his list of favorites from 28 to 14 today. Story, who is ranked 41st in the ESPNU 150, narrowed his list to Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, South Florida and West Virginia, according to Robert Kazmeir, Story's coach at Brooksville (Fla.) Nature Coast High School. It was somewhat surprising that Michigan, Tennessee and Rutgers didn't make the cut, and while he did cut his list to those 14 schools, he's still hoping to hear from Texas and Oregon.<!-- end free preview text --><SCRIPT type=text/javascript> function switchPostLink(newlink){ document.insidersignup.action = newlink; } </SCRIPT>

I have no idea how someone can be a consensus 3 star recruit with that offer list but w/e.

Look at his stats from last year. He had 27 carries but only 13 receptions. He made more tackles (22) than he caught passes. This year his coach has him playing QB as he's probably the best athlete on his team. Unfortunately that doesn't do much for developing him as a WR where he's projected to play in college.

Wasn't Golden Tate a 3 star for a similar reason, he was an RB in HS not a WR.

Shark was also a 3 star guy in HS.

Story Family Eyes Notre Dame & Ohio State Visits

Rudolph Story, the uncle of the future U.S. Under Armour All-American receiver Ja'Juan Story (Brooksville, Fla./Nature Coast Tech), tells ISD that a visit to Notre Dame could come in the coming weeks.

The elder Story played linebacker at Minnesota, and on June 30th, will be driving up north to the Gopher State with his nephew to see his son. Somewhere along the way, they look to stop at Notre Dame and Ohio State.

“We haven’t fully worked out the details, but I definitely think it’s going to happen,” Rudolph said.

Notre Dame and Ohio State recently made the 6-foot-3, 190-pound Story’s first cut, along with Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, South Florida and West Virginia.

The Story family has been in regular touch with Irish assistant coach Tony Alford, and look forward to seeing the campus for the first time.

“The tradition, you can’t get around that tradition,” Rudolph said.

The elder Story added that Florida, Florida State, Miami, South Florida and Georgia Tech are a few other schools they want to see this summer.

As a junior, the four-star Story caught 13 passes for 425 yards (32.5 avg.) and three touchdowns, and added another 27 rushes for 265 yards (9.8 avg.) and two more scores.

This young man is big (6'3") and very fast (4.37-4.4). It'll be a Story of a life time if he commits to ND.

Any word if we are getting a visit? Another forum mentioned 247 tweet that he was. Would be a nice late pickup.

Roger. I couldn't find much of anything negative about him. But you can never be sure.

Another receiver would be nice.
