Which guy do you sit? Or do you use a three man rotation? Hafis and Sean have played very well in his absence.

You don't sit anyone, you just have more comfort in your line rotation. I think Sean will play more

They rotated three guys before? I don't know why but I always thought they just used one to spell Ian Williams when he was tired.

Cwynar was playing more regularly as the season wore on. Hafis not so much, but he's been a lot more since Ian's injury.

I don't think there will be a problem rotating all of them, giving Cwynar the most PT I'd guess.

no chance at all we get rudolph or armando back for the sun bowl either? If they came back I would **** solid gold

yeah, I highly doubt those two make it back. There's a lot of rehab to be done in a short period of time.

Eifert has filled in brilliantly for Rudolph, he's not the biggest loss in the world. But having Armando back would have been sweet. Notre Dame cannot go out there and pass through Miami or they will get beat. They need to run the ball and force Miami to keep it honest.

Don't know much about Armando, but from my sister's convo with Rudy's mom in the bathroom at Yankee Stadium, he's done for the year, including bowl game.

A). there's been a lot of info that says pretty definitively that Kyle's not a possibility this soon; B). same with Armando and obviously Dayne; C). before Ian's injury there was basically a two-man NT situation with him and Sean, but Hafis played a fair amount as back-up DE and got a lot of praise from Kelly as a contributor.

NG Ian Williams said Miami told him he was "too small" to play there. How did that make him feel? "They'll find out," he said

Kyle's injury was on 10/9 and he had surgery before the Western Michigan game a week later (but lets just say 10/16). That puts us around a little over 7 weeks since surgery. His avulsion injury (tendon bringing spurs with it as it tears away from bone) has a similar rehab to Crist's patella tendon rupture. He will be back in time for spring practice but will take around 6 months.

Whooo!!! Don't get the Big Dog mad!!!

And don't ignore the little yippers. They may be small, but they're quick and persistent.

As me Uncle Liam said, "The Wolfhound may grab you by the vocal chords but the Pomeranian will steal your jewels."

You are correct. Ian will probably start and share time with Sean at NG. Hafis will most likely be the third man or first man in at DE in a rotation.

Ian will play. Sean is great and will be even better next year, but Ian Williams will be a fairly early NFL draft pick and has stood out in every game he played in. You could make a case for him being our 2nd best defender.

Ian, Manti, Harrison, and Gary are our "Four Horsemen" on defense this year. The other guys are pretty good too---I'll call them the Punishin' Posse.
