i can't imagine IE working with 684 users on it, this thing is slower than **** with 375 people on it.

So glad to get this monkey off the back, I truly feel the corner is turned. would like to get FSU in Champs Sports bowl and beat them and get ranked in Top 25

Great game for the whole team, the staff and even the fans.

Couldn't be happier for Robert Hughes, Brian Smith, Harrison Smith and Duval. All 4 have been maligned or forgotten at various times over the last few years and all hung in there like true Notre Dame men (heck H. Smith even had the luck of the Irish tonite with that last SuC drop) and were instrumental in bringing us home a win!

Great win boys!

GO IRISH!

Michigan gets throttled and ND beats SC. What I wouldn't do to be a fly on the wall of the Hayes house tonight. Sorry, had to...

the look on kiffins face at the end of the game was priceless...that blank stare, those large black eyes staring off into nothingness...

yes Lane, your 0-1 against Notre Dame.

If somebody would have told you in the 2nd Quarter of the Michigan game that Tommy Rees would eventually end up the starting QB and beat USC to end the 8 year streak what would your response be??

It feels real doesn't it. O blunders aside. Love great Irish D. Does anyone remember the '66 Champions allowed only an average of 3 points per game against them. Tommy aside (we can all agree to give him this one to grow on) the offense showed guts. Robert Hughes has been an outstanding N.D.'er, patient and humble. Love his style of running.
We're heading in the right direction. Let the recruiting begin!

I think Rees struggled...however what I do like about him is that he does not to seem to get rattled....

Still will take Dayne at the start of next year over Rees. Not to be a debbie downer after a big win

yes Lane, your 0-1 against Notre Dame.

This made me smile!

Its nice to think that we now seem to have the best coach between us, michipoop, and usCrap. AND while we are all 7-5 now it sure seems like...

^^^ND^^^ (Notre Dame on the rise)

VVV michipoop and usCrap VVV (michigan and usc spiraling downward)

At least I hope so :)

Next year is going to be a completely open competition at QB between Crist, Masa, Hendrix, Rees and (hopefully) Golson. I also expect to see a couple transfers once the depth chart comes out.

But for now... I am going to savor this win and the fact that our defense played their hearts out. It's an amazing feeling when you can win without having to light up the scoreboard.

Oh, and interesting ESPN stat of the night... ND has now won 26 games in a row when they've out rushed their opponent.

I agree, I think the competition is going to be wide open and really fun to see who comes out on top for the QB.

I hope it isn't Rees, I just like Dayne better. But, if Rees does win it--I guess he is the better man And Kelly does know much better than I. I just don't like Rees' arm strength at all. I think Dayne is just a better QB all the way around--IMO. And I do like everything I have seen on hendrix. I have watched a lot of his video, and am impressed. And he is a very good runner. And Rees just looks like running is hard for him to do.

I know Rees is only 18, and I like how he has come in and put us in position to win--but he is also directly responsible for the Tulsa loss too with that bone headed throw. Anyhow, with all of that I am glad he is Irish. And I am impressed with him as a 18 year old. I just like some of our other guys better.

Go Irish, great win. And way to put the Irish Nation back in the right direction.

How good does this feel???? Great!! Go Irish!

you over optimistic blindly loyal fool. We suck and i dunno if we will ever beat USC again besides Dayne is our man something like that

Edit: I just want to say for the record this wasnt an insult to jerry. He asked in his post what would I say to soemone who told me that rees would lead us to victory against usc back during th emichigan game. My post wouldve been the reactino forgive me for not specifying but I just want to make it clear that Im not insulting another fan that we won. Im happy we won and couldnt think of anything to insult another ND fan about after that game. This post was a hypothetical thing and I did not mean for it to come across as an insult to jerry. If someone told me that tommy rees wouldve lead us to a victory over USC in september I wouldve thought they were dumb because at the time I thought Dayne was going to be the QB of the future
