Why the vitriol against Boise? I agree, even if they'd won, they probably didn't deserve to play in the NC game, but why are you guys reveling in it so much? Did I miss something they did wrong?
Because there were a whole lot of people on this site who ripped the OSU president for his comments. We were amongst the minority in agreeing with the president, and it's nice to see our point proven correct that BSU has no place in the national championship game. I don't want to speak for others though; this is just my take.
Nevada Wolf Pack, Boise State Broncos put on a show in Reno - ESPN
I thought this was a really good article.
Also, I watched the Auburn vs Alabama game and I watched the Boise vs Nevada game. The product on the field was very similar, the best of the WAC is about= to the best of the SEC.
I dont understand the Boise hate here. Honestly since ND wasnt going anywhere near the BCS this year for me personally this extinguishes any interest in the National Championship for me.
I've heard nothing but whining from Boise State, and this loss just keeps that whining out of the spotlight.
I would love to see either of these teams take on Michigan's D. That would be fun and I think we could all agree on that.
Also, the Nebraska game was supposed to be a road-home-road series for Boise. Nebraska and Boise would pay each other for the road games. Boise wanted 1 mil for their second road game, which seems more than fair considering Nebraska ended up giving Idaho 800 thousand for a game. I think we can all agree that Boise deserves a little more than Idaho, yes?
If they want to get treated like a big time school, then start acting like one. You don't see big programs demanding 1mil+ for playing a road game. And Boise's a better team than Idaho obviously, but that doesn't mean they deserve more. A real team shouldn't have to demand money like a cupcake team does knowing they are about to get smoked on the road. Oregon States a better team than Idaho, yes? How much did they ask for from Boise?
I guarantee you that you haven't heard any whining from Boise's coach or players.

Side note... did anyone else pull a 'wtf' during and after the kick to end regulation...
it looked good... for sure... and I swear I saw the official under that upright raise his hands signaling the kick was good not just watching it live but in the replay as well...
interesting ending either way... good game.
