It is human nature to be angry... It is human nature to feel Sour Grapes... but we need to be grown ups, and move on........ Sometimes one kid can make or break a class.....this is not that kid..... This kid is not Tim Brown, Manti, or .... (hard swallow) Ron Powlus... (engage gag reflex)

This happens with every school, it's apart of recruiting, I hate losing a recruit, but there is someone out there better.
So did ND pull the scholarship??

Not that I am aware of, I was just stating that there is duality in the situation...and the Irish Fan base has a case to be angry. This kid was rah rah Irish less than two weeks ago, then flipped to a rival.

Not every kid is a Tim Brown or Manti and not every kid makes or breaks a class.
Did ND pull the scholarship on Hayes??

NO...NO...NO... I have zero evidence of that fact... I wasn't hinting at that at all. I don't want that rumor started here...this board is too good for that.

Again I use TJ as an example who was all Stanford, then he chose ND.

I was just asking the question, nothing about any rumors. I'll see what Hansen has to say about this today.

regardless of our Rival Nature with Michigan, and the fact most of us do not like them..... the kid is from Michigan, and they are a Very good program. I am actually not concerned with our recruiting...I have faith in the coaching staff to get the kids they need, and Coach them up. We can have the Number one recruiting class in the country every year, but if they are not the right kind of kid, or not coached up...we will be in the same place in 4 years.

No brotha, I know... I just try to make life a little easier on the MODS.. they have a tough time. The TJ jones thing is a good example...it happens all the time in recruiting. When we benefit we rejoice....when it happens against us, it is normal to be butt hurt.

Hell, we don't need to pull in the most elite recruits. To me, it seems like Brian Kelly can develop players. While Charlie Weis was only worried about the quarterback role. As it seemed to me, anyway.

Justice Hayes is forgettable.

Hey BestBIrish47 the recruiting season isn't over yet, I bet BK is going to pull out a good class, and also this is first full year at recruiting for ND. I have good thoughts on how we'll end up. Cierre Wood has been getting better each week and I can feel a 100 yard game against USC. I also tihnk that our chances of landing Huggins got greater.

I agree, and very well said sir! I think two things will impact recruiting more than anything..... the Univeristy selling itself..... and success in the program.

It's easy to say we don't need the most elite recruits, but it's easier to win the more you have. Keep in mind, at the height of the Holtz era, ND was winning on the field with players from four straight number 1 recruiting classes.

Guys we have no idea what really happened.....I personally know a recruit in my area that was a verbal to a Big 12 school, but he went to a camp and they had some opportunities for better kids, and didn't like what they saw in him, and they pulled his offer. All of a sudden he wasn't "comfortable" w/ said school, and verballed very quickly to another, lesser Big 12 school.....I AM NOT saying this is what happened here, I have no inside info. I am just saying a lot of stuff happens behind the scenes, that we don't know about....I just don't see a kid going from a rah rah big time recruiter to a rival commit this quick, w/out something big happening, especially w/ the "coaching stability" line, b/c honestly if he and his family believe that Rich Rod's job is safer than Kelly's they have their head in the sand....Anyway, I wish him luck and 4 losses against the Irish.

If Hayes is more comfortable @ skunkbear land than that's fine. He needs to do what's best for him. If he's not happy with where this program is heading that's again his choice. Good luck to him.

Can we kill this thread, he is not a potential Irish Player. So, please get him off our list and kill this thread.

Move on to guys that want to be here, and not scared of competition at a position. I guess Cierre and Theo were too much for him to overcome. Anyhow, I guess we can stop the speculation (which I do myself) and move on to guys that warrant our attention and love.

Kill the thread please! And get him off our list. I'm sure he doesn't want to be on it either!

Well, dang it. Was hoping this kid would come back to us at a later date. Good luck to him at Michigan. When we beat them next year he will see he made a mistake. We have other options at RB and he was not necessarily a "MUST" in this recruiting class..., although he would have been an awesome addition for sure. Wish him the best of luck. Next....
