This reminds me of the scene is Pet Sematary when the toddler gets smoked by the semi-truck.
LOL. Wonder if the QB's shoes came off in that collision.

Man look at the legs on that QB..
Remember that we are still pursuing Ishaq, Ray Drew, Brennan and other DE recruits who could replace Aaron. ND will survive and thrive.
I appreciate the positive attitude and you are right..., we are still in play for some other great recruits. I just have this horrible feeling in my gut that we are not done losing other recruits in this class. The one kid we all thought for sure would be Irish just backed out of his commitment. I will hope we can replace Aaron with another DE but I guess we will have to wait and see. Bottom line is we need to win games. The way we have played the past couple of weeks, I can honestly see alot of kids really wondering where our football program is headed. I for one am trying my best to stay positive and optimistic, but my faith has been tested as so many other people.
If Tuitt would stay and convince Lyons and Drew to come with him then this situation would be saved and we could all just move on with our lives as though Lynch had never happened.
Frankly, that should be the recruiter's biggest priority right now - and it shouldn't be that hard a sell. If you look at our depth chart, all three of them would be on the two deep right away because of graduations (H. Smith gone at safety, Neal and B. Smith gone at linebacker, Nwankwo at end) and they would all probably be starting by their second year (Johnson and KLM graduate, Flemming, Filer and McCarthy too).
They simply aren't going to get that elsewhere. Kelly needs to go out and sell defensive players on the fact that they still have a great offensive recruiting class and all we need is the defense to go with it.
If Lebron, DWade and Bosh can go to the Heat, we can dream of Tuitt, Drew and Lyons.

Harrison Smith has another year; no one seems to remember that. And who says any of those guys in parenthesis can beat out the new recruits? And there is no mention of Slaughter.

In the past couple of weeks, as Notre Dame struggled on the football field it has also struggled to hold onto recruits. It has lost three four-star commitments so far in defensive ends Clay Burton and Aaron Lynch and offensive tackle Jordan Prestwood. But they’re not going to lose their four-star defensive end from Georgia.
At least that’s what Stephon Tuitt told me this week. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound Monroe Area star told me he’s sticking with the Fighting Irish regardless of how this season shakes out.
“It just makes me more determined,” Tuitt said. “I’m going to Notre Dame for football, but that’s not the only thing I’m going there for. I’m also going for the school and the academics and the history and the tradition. None of that has changed.”
Tuitt said as he watches the Irish play it becomes more evident how he can help then on defense.
“It’s kind of like our school,” he said. “We had a couple of bad seasons. But we worked really hard and fought our way through it and got better and now we’re winning.”
Monroe Area was 0-20 the previous two seasons. The Purple Hurricanes (8-1) face Lumpkin County in a Region 8AAA play-in game Friday.
