If he does visit i like our chances very much. Need to get him to OV first

He will be taking an official visit on either December 11th or 18th. He will also be at the Army game with his football coach Shawn O'Conner. He really likes Notre Dame but he is still considering Alabama and Penn State. He will be visiting Penn State this weekend as they face Michigan. Syracuse is also making a late push with Ishaq. Both of his parents graduated from Syracuse so they are a player with this kid.

Hopefully he will like his visit and we can show him in the coming weeks that we can play some good tough football.

I am sure Syracuse will get a chance, but this kid has a dream of playing on Sundays one day so I see him going to either Notre Dame or Alabama. ND because we get so much National exposure, and Alabama because they are a national powerhouse. He would get alot more chances to be seen at either ND or Alabama.

Syracuse may have a better chance than you think. His family suffered a tragedy earlier this year when his 15 year old brother was killed. He has made it known that staying close to home "MAY" play into his college choice. He is very close to his family and Syracuse is the closest of his final four colleges. Also, both of his parents graduated from Syracuse. Syracuse is not as nationally prominant as Alabama and Notre Dame, but they have put out some solid NFL defensive players. (Dwight Freeney) Its not like he will go unnoticed if he plays at Syracuse.

I hear you man. Speaking of another Syracuse player that played for the Colts, Marvin Harrison. lol. In the end I'm sure he makes a choice that is good for him and his family and I did read about his brother earlier in the year. I found it amazing that he had the strength to take his SATs a few days later. Whoever gets this kid will get a great football player and a great young man that is more mature beyond his years. He seems like a tireless worker and he is always striving to get better. Talk about bringing intangibles to the game. I'm sure this is one kid that helps his teammates throughout the year with weightlifting and other workouts.

For Notre Dame, this kid is HUGE!! Yes we can point to Savon Huggins and Ray Drew and Wayne Lyons as kids higher up on peoples lists, but this kid has now become essential. On the field and off the field, this is a Notre Dame student athlete. Very mentally strong and ready to become a leader and a captain on this defense. Before the departure of Clay Burton, Ishaq was a luxuary, all of that has changed and now Ishaq has become a must. We need him to finish up our recruiting throughout the front seven.

He will be committing soon after the conclusion of his senior season. He wants to hit early enrollment so look for a December commit. That puts Notre Dame in a very good position because he visits in mid December. I believe this young man will be our next verbal and a big one at that.

Ouch... bad time to be on campus. Not taking an OV for a game sounds kinda strange to me as well.

Rumors began to fly this week that Brooklyn (N.Y.) Lincoln defensive end/linebacker/tight end Ishaq Williams had committed to Notre Dame but that turned out to be false. Williams will take an official visit to Notre Dame in December and also wants to take officials to Penn State, Alabama and Syracuse, with USC and Miami still pushing. The problem? Williams is an early enrollee, his team is undefeated and seems headed for a deep playoff run so he will have limited time to take his trips. Notre Dame is thought to be the team to beat followed by Penn State. But Syracuse is an interesting darkhorse here. Both of his parents graduated from Syracuse and the team is off to a 5-2 start.

Welcome to the site GB. You have asked about his visit a couple of times. It was just answered above; he says December but he's not exactly sure when. It also says so a few times on the previous pages...if you take a few minutes to peruse the threads you'll find a lot of the answers to any questions you might have. Enjoy the site!
