Anyways...... long time no posting from me, mostly b/c school is kicking me arse, but im really pumped we have been landing big time recruits like this, especially along the OL. Kelly has really impressed me thus far.... cant wait to see what it translates to on the field.

Rivals gave him 4 Stars and a 5.9 Rating. They have not released Position Ranking yet.

i know i know, stars dont mean anything, but how can this kid be a top ten tackle in the nation by all 3 services and not have a 5th star? if he had committed to uf or usc would he then get a 5th star? i dont get it.

More competition than what is certainly credited. Also, it's the Land of Entrapment. Get it right.

ISD Article on Hegarty

Notre Dame Football - Hegarty Returns To Notre Dame

Hegarty got comfortable with the players on the team, spending most of his time with quarterback Dayne Crist, center Braxton Cave, tight end Kyle Rudolph, offensive lineman Mike Golic Jr., and tight end Jake Golic.

“They invited me right in and treated me great,” Hegarty said. “Getting around them and seeing the quality of guys there, and the people I’m going to be playing with, it was a great experience. They’re all great guys.”

Hegarty feels the same way about the coaching staff. He particularly enjoyed his time with offensive line coach Ed Warinner, who he wasn’t able to see during the May evaluation period, because Hegarty wasn’t at school the day Warinner dropped by.

“I hadn’t seen him since junior day,” Hegarty said. “It was good to talk to him again. He was breaking down film with me, and I enjoyed seeing what I’m going to be looking at in a couple years. I enjoyed the opportunity.

“I spoke with coach (Brian) Kelly a couple times.”

One of the few times Hegarty was with his mom, they talked to an academic advisor in student services about graduating early. That’s still the plan for Hegarty, who also took in one of strength and conditioning coach Paul Longo’s workouts.

“That was a lot of fun. They were just getting after it. They were throwing up big weight, and they looked like they were having a good time. I watched them run, and they didn’t seem to enjoy that as much. Coach Longo, he knew what he was doing with the whole routine.”

A routine Hegarty is itching to be part of.

Great news

Great news

When I saw the headline on rivals, and with the offer out to Martin this week, I thought maybe Hegarty had had a change of heart. Good to know that he is 100% Irish and enrolling early.

Yeah, my heart stopped when I saw that his name was the first thread I saw on this site. It's funny b/c I was just thinking about him yesterday and how we haven't heard anything from him in a while. Great news!

Yeah, the oline is going to be great in a few year.. Martin, Watt, Lombard, Hegarty, Prestwood and Bullard...should be some great battles in practice between the oline and dline

I think Hanratty could develop into a good inside lineman as well.

You forgot a couple. ND could rotate 12 + linemen in two years. Think of it. Fast like a chainsaw: A whole buncha parts moving together, in different directions!
