He camped at OSU this summer. Kelly could establish himself versus Tressel with a win here.

Lets hope somebody steps into the Tressels terroritory and does some work... Weis got a few, probably his biggest coming in the form of Rudolph, but Tressel definately seems to lock down the RBs and defenders nearly all of the time...

Very excited by the offer, open to everyone who recruits him...but grew up an Ohio St. fan. Says that everyone will get a look, but...

i worked at glenoak last year and got transferred to another school this year. brionte is a really nice kid with a ton of talent. i have seen 3 of his 4 games this year and i can honestly tell you that the kid is a treat to watch. he's quick and looks like eddie george (sorry for the osu reference) when he runs. he is a big bruiser who is hard to bring down. if you hit him up high, you bounce off. if you hit him low, he can knock you off with his arm. i haven't seen a person bring him down by themselves yet.

he is a good kid to boot. he stays out of trouble and comes from a good family. he's also a pretty good student getting mostly b's. i would love to see him wearing blue and gold, but my hunch is that he picks osu. he is an ohio guy who has a lot of people around him telling him how "great" osu is. either way, he is great kid who has a bright future.

Dunn on the decommit:

When asked if the Jim Tressel news is affecting his recruitment, he said: "Yeah, I don't know what's going to happen. I'm just going to take my visits like anybody else would do. I don't know what's going to happen with the NCAA investigation, so I'm just going to sit back and see what happens before making a final decision."

What are you most-concerned about? "I don't want him to get fired. And I don't want a bowl ban."

I talked to his Dad and Bri'onte was sitting next to him Saturday at OSU's spring game. He and his dad were sitting next to me and talking about OSU backs and the other rb that verbaled in the 2012 class. I told his dad that I wished he would have picked ND or at least given them a chance.

I hope I did. My cousin will be playing there next year so I was there with him. I just happened to be sitting next to Bri'onte and his dad and we had good conversations throughout the scrimmage. I told his dad that I think he is better than Warren Ball and told him I wished he would have given ND a shot. I hope he gives ND a look now even if it's just to keep his options open.

Good job! We desperately need a RB of his caliber this cycle.

although it gives us and everyone else a chance, I don't see him leaving Ohio St. once everything clears up i think tressel will stay, but there is a great chance for a year or two ban from post season play. I'm sure our staff will get right on this.

Thanks for the clarification...so in recruiting lingo we would consider him a soft verbal...hopefully we can wow him if we get a visit.

From ESPN:

ESPNU 150 Watch List RB Bri'onte Dunn of Ohio, who committed to Ohio State last September, has softened his pledge in light of the NCAA's notice of allegations re: Tattoogate. "I'm going to visit Michigan and I'm going to visit other schools too. I'm just keeping my options open at this point," Dunn told Dave Biddle of Bucknuts. "I don't know what's going to happen with the NCAA investigation, so I'm just going to sit back and see what happens before making a final decision. Asked what concerns him the most, Dunn said, "I don't want (coach Jim Tressel) to get fired. And I don't want a bowl ban."

Biddle goes on to say that while Dunn remains committed to the Buckeyes, Biddle considers Dunn an "open prospect," meaning that the Ohio State coaching staff may have to re-win his affection as much as another school may have to steal him from Columbus.

With another highly touted (although not Watch List) RB already committed in Warren Ball and a deep and still relatively young collection of ball-carriers already on the roster, the Buckeyes won't have trouble finding someone to hand off to. But there was/is particular excitement about the prospects of the bruising, 6-foot-1, 222-pound Dunn.

Basically he is holding himself a spot at OSU just in case he wants to go there in the end. He is taking other visits just in case he feels something isn't right or the NCAA comes down on OSU.
