Rivals shows an ND offer. Scout doesn't.

ISD and B&G don't have him on their Interested/Prospect List.


Last year as a 249 pound soph he ran a 5.05 at a combine and caught the eyes of coaches.

He plays OT and DE and is widely projected as a DE.

Another FL kid that will be a tough pull out of state. He's been to Miami for a combine, has made a visit to UF, and has been to Tallahassee more than once.

OL Giorgia Newberry (6-6 255) of Fort Pierce, FL plans to set one of his official visits with Clemson for this fall. "I really like Clemson," Newberry said. "I like the coaching staff, the facilities, the atmosphere. I'm definitely going to take an official." Newberry has visited Florida State, Florida and Central Florida this spring. His offers include Clemson, USC, Notre Dame, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Stanford, Boston College, North Carolina, NC State, Wisconsin, Duke, South Florida and Rutgers. He said Florida and Florida State have been in touch with him the most.

OL Giorgio Newberry (6-6 255) of Fort Pierce, FL has over 37 offers including offers from Clemson, USC, Florida, Tennessee, Boston College, Stanford, North Carolina, NC State, Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Alabama, and Rutgers. He will begin taking summer visits next week. "I am going to Rutgers soon and I may go to Tennessee next week," said Newberry. "I'm either going to UCF (Central Florida) for a team camp or to Tennessee on an unofficial visit." He likes the Tigers and says he wants to visit. "If I don't go this summer, I could take an official visit there," he said. "I've heard good things and have a good relationship with the coaches." He says he would like to visit USC as well whilehe is in the state. Newberry says he should begin to narrow his list by the end of the summer and will likely commit after the season. Newberry recently visited Iowa State and said "It was alright. It's kind of far though," he added. No favorites for Newberry at this time.

Has potential on both sides of the ball. Rivals and Scout have him as a DE while ESPN has him at OT.

Was just listening to ISD Power Hour and Mike Frank seems to think he'll try and visit much later in the fall due to the football season so others may end up taking his spot before he get on campus.

I think we're in pretty decent shape(top 4?) here as long as UF doesn't become a major player.

just because he insists on playing right away doesnt neccessarily mean he has to start right away. he might be ok being in the rotation right away... you never know.

He ain't starting as a Frosh at just about any of the schools listed as big offers... he'd have to see rotation PT.

Yes, Aaron and Newberry talk often, Aaron told me last night that he's definetly taking a official visit to Notre Dame. He really would love to play with Aaron, he thinks they would be dominating together. Aaron met him on his last visit to Florida State, he's a really great kid. They been texting each other ever since.

This could be the beginnings of a new era at Notre Dame. Newberry, Nix, and Lynch would be an absolutely ridiculous D-line for a 3-4.
