Maybe someone can help me better understand this, but I don't think SC should have let him out of his LOI. I mean, his one big hold-up, he said, was the possible sanctions. SO he told the world that he wanted to wait until they were announced. Then, he gets an acceptable score on his ACT in April, and suddenly he signs his LOI, eben though the sanctions weren't announced. Ummmm, what happened to waiting for the sanctions???
And now that the sanctions are out and SC got hammered...NOW you want out? Dude, you knew that sanctions were a possibility, and you signed the dotted line anyway. And I don't care if Kiffy did lie and say the sanctions wouldn't be bad...everyone knows what a snake he is and both Seantrel and PapaSnoopDog signed anyway.
IMO, he screwed up, and so he must pay. I know he's just a kid, but football isn't a right, it's a privilege. He should have to sit out a year, go to college either at SC or whatever school he is going to end up at (not sure f that is legal, but for the sake of argument, let's say it is), but NOT be allowed to play football per the transfer rules. And next time maybe he and his daddy won't get in bed with a used car salesman.
The only thing I can think of, is that Kiffin released him on the condition that Seantrell doesn't say anything about his recruitment to the media or the public (in other words...he can't say that Kiffin promised him anything regarding the sanctions). I'd love to hear someone enlighten me and explain to me how USC is doing the right thing, because I just don't see it.
