This was all contingent upon grades, correct? I know the school year is coming to a close around the country, so maybe he really picked it up in the classroom during the last semester/quarter or whatever they have in Ill.
I can't read his Faceyspace and I refuse to friend someone I have no relationship with, but if it is true, it looks pretty good for the Irish. I would be thrilled to get him, mainly because he knew what he wanted, and went to work in the classroom to get it. That's what gets me off, kids willing to put in the hard work.

Hopefully he did wecenough to lull his grades and scores up. I am a redskins fan also and his father is a class act. I met him a few years ago and was very nice and always represents the team and name well.

Anyone know if he is coming off a recent visit anywhere? Did UGA offer him a scholarship? I feel like it's between us and Oklahoma since he hasn't visited Miami and we haven't heard him talk much about MSU

On further note I asked him on his formspring on facebook, which schools he has visited that have extended him scholarships, and we are the only team that he has visited in his top 4. Potential good news?

The last school he visited was Iowa though but I am not sure when he did.

I wonder how Kelly addresses a kid who loves Notre Dame but has wandering eyes? Does he discourage them from committing prematurely knowing it could lead to some drama down the road?

Grades are in, feeling good about this....

Scout lists him with a 2.4 Core GPA and an ACT of 19 which probably meets NCAA Clearinghouse requirements for slidling GPA/Test score. I don't know if that 2.4 included the recent semester. ND has accepted lower numbers but with ND it depends on the actual transcript and coursework. Only ND Admissions, Kelly, and the Daniels know that.
Scout reports he was retaking the ACT on June 12th. That result isn't back in a week.
I'd like to see him on board.

How's this for crazy: same source now says Daniels has done what he needs to qualify for ND and that ND and Miami are neck and neck (with ND having a slight lead). Who knows how this one will turn out.

About a month ago from everyone writing about him, to him himself, we had a huge lead for him.And now all of a sudden its all even...

There have been concerns that ND admissions wouldn't accept him due to his transcript. He's been working to pull them up, but he's also looked elsewhere. So that's where Miami has stepped up the attention. We'll all find out in 2 days which story line play out

The newest word from Steve Wiltfong's source is that we shouldn't be expecting great news tomorrow. I am as optimistic as they come, so I abhor writing this. But, I think it's fair to let everyone know.
Steve is a well-respected recruiting guru, but that doesn't mean this is true. His source may be off, or he may just not be that much in the know.
It still baffles me that he is wearing a Notre Dame shirt in his FB profile pic. I'm not big into the whole FB thing, but that seems to me like a pretty good sign. I just can't figure it out - unless he was denied admission (which would seem very, very premature). This guy has never even visited Cape Coral.
I'm going to go out on a big limb and say that he'll commit to us. I have no souces, just a gut! (Davaris, back me up on this, lol)
