Ok so as we all know it's been a while since Notre Dame has had won a national championship or had a heisman winner and an even longer time since it's produced a number 1 overall pick. So i created a poll question to see which one people think will happen first. I just thought it could be a fun little discussion to pass sometime.

NC... though ND QBs are always in it, and Kelly always produces good ones... things just might fall into place for Dane.

I'm certainly trying to be as logical as possible. My lucid dreams are another thing...

Can you imagine Palin in the nude celebrating a Notre Dame championship?

Exactly, logical.

we have some great indy talent right now... talent that could win theHeisman... but not enough across the depth chart to win the title imo... so I went with Heisman... I actually could see a handfill of guys on this team win the Heisman in the next couple years...

I went with the Heisman as well. Our defense and O line have hurt our championship hopes of late, but at the position skills of QB and RB we have had talent. Charles Woodson ('97) was the last player not to play one of those positions to win it (along with Desmond Howard '91 as the only other since Tim Brown). If he stays, Crist has a good chance in his last year or two along with whoever takes over our backfield - Wood, Gray, Roberson.

I would love to see a title but we have to change the culture of losing the close games and gain more athletes on defense. Sometimes that does not take as long as the talking heads on ESPN say, but I would be pleasantly surprised if we were 12-1 or 13-0 and standing at the top in the next 3 years.

i think Crist or Floyd have a great chance at winning the heisman, and then followed with a national championship........the only reason i say this is because the heisman votes are before the national championship game hahaha so in a way the heisman winner would actually come before us winning the Nat. Champ Game.

if floyd stays healthy he's going to be beast. when he's healthy he's one of the best in college football so how can he not be productive.

Floyd has shown that he is very, very productive when unbroken and healthy. His skill, ability and desire are undeniable. His effectiveness ,though, will be greatly dependent on Crist, the offensive line and Kelly's "scheme."

From what I've seen of Dayne on the field he has one hell of an arm. What I hope (and expect) to see is that he has refined his "touch," timing and decision making. Though the stability of his knee is a concern, I sense that he'll be full throttle before the season's through.

I would love to see another ND national championship ... after a Heisman Trophy award to Floyd, Rudolph or Crist. A number one pick in the NFL draft would be nice. Mark May, choking on his words and crying like a baby for help would be a bonus.

I say Heisman. Crist has 3 years and all the tools. Plus the system will allow him to put up big numbers. If he stays all three years with the talent that is on the team currently, ND will be a BCS contender

I'm hoping its win a Championship.

I'm a big fan of Brian Kelly's to be honest. He goes places -- and they WIN. They win more than they're supposed to.

He carried tiny Cincinnati into a BCS game. Cincinnati's stadium holds what? 30,000 people?

At Notre Dame, he should be able to attract better talent and more intelligent players. I expect to be in a title game within 3 years.

Having the name Kelly has to be a good omen as well. Its like this was meant to happen. :)
